2014 Predictions

December 31, 2013

Wishing you a very happy and prosperous 2014

The year 2014 is going to be an eventful year.  It will be a year that we will not forget.  While worldwide spiritual growth will continue to expand the ongoing political and social crisis will remain unabated.

As mentioned in last year’s annual predictions, in January 2005, Pluto entered sidereal Sagittarius which marked the beginning of an accelerated process of spiritual growth.  This spiritual expansion has been marked by globalization, with technological and social developments that have enabled humans to become more closely connected.  However the occurrences of the natural and man- made calamities especially from June to October 2014 will highlight the year.

During 2014, all the modern planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) will continue to reside in spiritual (sidereal) zodiac signs: Pluto in Sagittarius, a fire and mutable sign ruled by Jupiter; Neptune in Aquarius, an air and fixed sign ruled by Saturn; and Uranus in Pisces, a water and mutable sign ruled by Jupiter.  Because both Saturn and Jupiter are planets of spiritual forces (as they rule the last four signs of the zodiac), in 2014, our subtle spiritual human evolution will continue to be at a phenomenal speed.  In fact, until November 2, 2014, exalted Saturn in Libra will continue to provide an additional boost to spiritual growth.  In addition after June 17, 2014, Jupiter will enter the spiritual water sign of sidereal Cancer, and it will then become responsible for collective spiritual growth and the emergence of new ways of living in accordance with the spiritual growth.

This accelerated spiritual growth is likely to be accompanied with pain and suffering as reflected in violence and terrorism in places like Afghanistan-Pakistan, North Africa, Iraq-Iran, and other regions of the Middle East. Simultaneously natural calamities that include extreme weather conditions, abnormal weather patterns, increased frequency of earthquakes of significant magnitude, wildfires, hurricanes, snow storms etc. are likely.

The lunar nodes Rahu (the north node) and Ketu (the south node) will continue to be in sidereal Aries and Libra respectively until July 14, 2014. The influence of the lunar nodes will create challenges (Rahu conjunct Saturn). As a result, additional effort will be necessary to begin and maintain new humanitarian projects.

During 2014, several ninefold oppositions, quincunxes, squares and conjunctions occur among the planets of action (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Rahu), especially from June to October, as shown in the chart below.  These planetary configurations may lead to undesirable events (such as wars, uprisings, violence and revolutions). During the same period, the world’s financial markets will exhibit marked volatility.

Jupiter transits in Gemini until June 18, 2014.  Since Gemini is an air and mutable sign, Jupiter’s collective influence will result in intellectual growth during the first half of the year.  The United States (a Uranus country) will continue to provide the platform for this intellectual growth since Uranus resides in Pisces, a sign ruled by Jupiter. During the second half of 2014, Jupiter’s transit in sidereal Cancer (an exalted sign for Jupiter) will provide tremendous opportunity for collective spiritual growth. Advances in technology and sciences will absolutely be phenomenal due to the favorable placement of the modern planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.  The major scientific and technological breakthroughs in fields of medicine, biotechnology, high technology and space science will therefore be remarkable.

Thus, the events of 2014 will transform the world to the next new level, a necessary step as a part of our collective spiritual growth that began in 2005.
