Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Uranus’s entry in the sidereal Pisces

One of the important planetary events for April 2009 is the transit of the modern planet Uranus from (sidereal) Aquarius to Pisces occurring on April 2. Uranus will stay in Pisces till October 12, 2009, and then with its retrograde motion returns to Aquarius and remains in Aquarius till January 20, 2010. After January 20, 2010, it will reenter Pisces and stay in Pisces for the next 7 years (2016/17).

Uranus, being the planet of change, will certainly affect the matters related to Pisces sign in a big way. Pisces is a mutable water sign. It’s a very emotional and spiritual sign ruled by the planet  Jupiter. Some of the unique characteristics of Uranus include: unorthodox, skeptical, extremely independent minded, brilliant, innovative, unyielding until fully convinced, standing up for oppressed or those who can not defend themselves. As a result, Uranus’s transit through Pisces will be responsible for transforming the world in which the morality and spirituality will evolve to meet the social needs of the twenty first century. Typically Uranus, the unconventional and forceful planet, brings about the transformation in a painful manner.  As a result, there will be a severe crisis in the religious world before the transformation begins.  The orthodox religious leaders as well as conventional philosophers will be forced to abandon their way of thinking and accept the new norms or become extinct. The religions or the way of our living will be questioned time and again through the next 7 years to modify the existing norms.

The transit of Uranus through Pisces is particularly important for the United States as it directly influences that country in shaping her future.

Another important aspect of this transit is the terrorism.  About 8 years ago (April 2001) Uranus entered in the sidereal Aquarius.  Aquarius is an air sign ruled by Saturn. Among other demographic locations, Saturn rules the Middle-East. Since Uranus and Saturn do not get along well, the very entry of Uranus in Aquarius was marked by the September 11 attack on the twin towers in New York City and the Pentagon building in Washington, D.C. Now that Uranus will be leaving Aquarius and entering Pisces, there’s a good chance this transit will be marked by the capture and defeat of terrorists who attacked the United Sates. And therefore, I would not be surprised if Bin Laden is captured (dead or alive) very soon (between now and October, 2009).

For financial world this Uranus transit is very important since it will set the tone for financial recovery soon after April 2. World financial markets have likely to hit the bottom before April 2.

In scientific and technological areas expect big new ideas will find their way to manifest themselves into innovations and discoveries in fields of oceanography, medicine, biotechnology, health and fitness. New techniques of meditations will be invented. During the time when Uranus transits through Pisces, Pluto transits through Sagittarius, another spiritual sign ruled by Jupiter. Thus during next 7 years or so there will be two modern planets transiting through the spiritual signs resulting in a phenomenal growth in world spirituality.  Mystic experiences will be norm than exceptions, and expansion of human awareness will certainly reach to unimaginable level. Science and spirituality will merge in a way we can never imagine, and for the first time in history the scientist will be involved in researching the origins and the source of development of subjective experiences.

Pluto-Saturn ninefold trine (March 27 – April 5)

If through your current progressive chart influence of either Pluto or Saturn is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to Saturn in your natal chart expect a very favorable time during this period. Such positive events will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspects. For example if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in a relationship, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding period.

On a collective level, this is a good period for European and Russian economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Mars-Saturn Opposition (April 3-4)

Mars-Saturn opposition, for no apparent reason, changes a perfectly normal and healthy situation into the one with a severe tension and friction. For those who have such opposition in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycles, they certainly need to be on guard. Simply lay back and do nothing.  If you must involve in an unwanted situation, be extra careful and try to minimize the damage. Experiences like fire burns, rape, accidents, loss of precious things, and monetary disasters are real possibilities.

On the world scene, a short term but very intensive friction between India and Pakistan is very likely. Terrorism and violence, especially in Israel-Palestine area will be on rise. Outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong occurrences of both natural and man-made calamities are real possibilities.

Neptune-Rahu ninefold opposition and Neptune-Ketu ninefold conjunction (April 4-12)

For those, who have poor placing of Neptune-Rahu (or Neptune Ketu) by being especially in the sixth, eighth, and the twelfth house of their birth chart and current operating cycles are influenced by at least one of these planets, are likely to experience instability in their daily routine caused due to sudden change in their activities and surroundings.  Such experiences might turn out to be very unfortunate and frustrating.  It would certainly be wise not to commit to anything new during this one week period and stay low key.

On the collective level, social as well as economic turmoil in Russia and China can not be ruled out.  Eastern Europeans are also likely to be negatively influenced by this planetary configuration.  Covert activities around the world may find a new momentum (but because of Neptune’s secretive character we may never know) with regard to terrorism and other international conflicts.

Saturn-Rahu ninefold opposition (and Ketu-Saturn ninefold conjunction) (April 10 – 17)

The occurrence of Saturn-Rahu ninefold opposition is not good for those who have such opposition in their birth charts. In addition, if the lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), or Saturn is affecting you via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in areas which are affected by these planets as indicated by your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such opposition can make things so miserable and difficult for you that you are never going to forget them in your life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, Russia or China may experience social or political unrest. Also, in the United State for the Republic Party and republicans it may prove to be prudent to stay on guard during this period.

Neptune-Saturn ninefold conjunction (April  9 – 16)

If you have a Neptune-Saturn conjunction or opposition in your birth chart, and if your current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets, then you are likely to experience a subtle but serious financial or social setback, or an unpleasant secret will be revealed to you. If you are planning to take a long distance (overseas) trip during this period, be extra careful of nasty surprises, or even being stranded in places you never dream of.

On the collective level, covert activities will be on rise. Possibilities of natural as well as man-made calamities are very likely. Places like Russia and China are likely to experience political and social turmoil. Non-democratic countries are likely to see shift of power from one faction (or dictator) to another. Religious activities around the world will likely to appear more secretive than open. 

Uranus-Mars conjunction (April 13 – 15)

This 3-day period will prove to be a period of very intense negative experience for those who have unfavorable placing of Mars with respect to Uranus in their natal charts.  Expect sudden and devastating change that will test your being.  Be prepared for a total change of surroundings around you and possibly experiencing a hostile atmosphere around you. Be cautious and on guard since the possibilities are limitless. For those who have well placed Uranus-Mars configurations in their birth charts would likely to be victorious and successful in whatever the business they are in.

On a collective level, possibility of sudden outbreak of a new conflict affecting the United States of America can not be ruled out.  Or it could be a man-made accident or a mishandling incident by the government. 

Pluto-Neptune ninefold trine (April 26 – May 20)

At a collective level, the Pluto-Neptune ninefold trine is positive in either bringing terrorism under control or even wiping out major terrorist cells through covert operation. In addition, this ninefold trine is good for Russia and to some extent for China. Also, on technological front, expect some positive breakthroughs in medical, high technology and biotechnology fields. 

On individual level, if in your birth chart Pluto is in sextile with Neptune or Pluto-Neptune form a ninefold trine, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are very likely to be positively affected by this trine.  Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a positive experience in that particular field. Enjoy this experience!

Uranus-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold square(s) (April 22 – 27)

Uranus-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold squares are going to be very unfavorable for those who have such squares in their natal charts.  Expect sudden loss of money, power, demotions at work place and/or tarnished reputation in professional and social fields. If you have such squares in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you need be very careful. The best thing to do is not make any new commitment, and totally avoid taking any business or monetary risk. Remember the time when you felt financially very secured, happy with family, and suddenly the landscape turned against you and everything disappeared. Well, if not exactly this way but something like this has a good potential to happen (again) …be careful!

On a collective level, United States and particularly the President Obama and his administration should take extra precaution in dealing with foreign matters. Terrorist activities are very likely to occur in the United States besides the volatile region of the Middle-East (Israel and Palestine). 

Pluto-Mars Square (April 24 – 26)

This square may cause great turmoil in lives of individuals who have Pluto-Mars square in their natal charts.  Depending on the positions of these planets the matters related to the respective houses are likely to be affected.  The severity of the manifestation would be proportional to the strength of this square in the natal chart.  The sudden or drastic change in profession or at work place are common manifestations of this square.   

On a collective level or on world scene, natural and man-made calamities can not be ruled out.
