Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

About Uranus’s re-entry in sidereal Aries ……..(April 4)

One of the important planetary events of 2017 is the transit of the modern planet Uranus from sidereal Pisces to Aries. It will station in Pisces until April 6, 2017 and then will enter Aries, and will stay in Aries for the next seven years or so. 

Uranus, being the planet of change, will certainly affect the matters related to Aries in a big way. Aries being the fire and cardinal sign, which is very suitable for independent, ambitious, energetic, impulsive and crazy Uranus, the changes in world political landscape is going to be tremendously influenced by Uranus’s transit in Aries. The people who are most affected by this transit are military personnel, business and political leaders.  In scientific and technological areas expect a lot of drastic changes and emerging new ideas will find their way into innovations and discoveries.  The scientific and technological growth rate will rise at a very rapid pace.  A new wave of world political and corporation leaders with their new perspectives on world order will certainly transform our world in next 6-7 years to a new level to which we must adjust to. 

On individual level for those who have Aries ninefold ascendant should get ready for a brand new cycle of change, especially a very pronounced cycle if Uranus is a dominant planet in their birth charts. The changes that might occur would be sudden and would deal with pretty much all aspects of life including marriage, profession, surroundings, common perceptions and beliefs, and the way of living.

Retrograde Venus (March 4 – April 15)

On March 4, the planet Venus turns retrograde in its motion in sidereal zodiac sign Pisces. Venus becomes retrograde about once every 19 months, and stays retrograde for about six weeks.  In general, a retrograde Venus means a very challenging period for women, marriages, home life, lovers, entertainment industries.  Expect the divorce rates to peak, fighting between spouses to intensify, and delays, frustrations, and misunderstandings to take a center-stage in domestic matters. If you have a dominating Venus in your birth chart, and if your current planetary cycle influences your life via Venus then you are more likely to experience the effects of the retrograde Venus till April 15. The entertainers like actors, actresses, musicians, comedians, movie directors and producers may find themselves in a miserable situation during the retrograde Venus period especially if they are currently being influenced by Venus through their current progressive cycles.

Retrograde Mercury (April 10 – May 4) 

On April 10, the planet Mercury becomes retrograde in sidereal Aries. It will stay retrograde in Aries until May 4. Typically retrograde Mercury means anxieties, communication breakdowns, unexpected delays, frustrations, missing deadlines, unforeseen obstacles and disappointment in daily chores. Retrograde Mercury in Aries means more frustrating periods for political leaders, businessmen, military personnel, people who deal with energy and fossil fuels, and social leaders. This is the time not to start a new project or venture, but rather reflect on what’s been done so far.  Also, this is the best time to cleanup that closet and do other chores that you have been postponing due to lack of time.

In addition, if you have dominating Mercury in your birth chart and if Mercury is currently your operating planet, then you are more likely to experience the pronounced effects of retrograde Mercury during this period with respect to matters signified by the house it’s transiting through in your progressive chart.

Pluto-Neptune ninefold trine (March 8 – April 6)

If in your birth chart Pluto is in sextile with Neptune or Pluto-Neptune form a ninefold trine, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are very likely to be positively affected by this trine.  Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a positive experience in that particular field. Enjoy this experience!

At a collective level, the Pluto-Neptune ninefold trine is positive in either bringing terrorism under control or even wiping out major terrorist cells through covert operation. In addition, this ninefold trine is good for Russia and to some extent for China. Also, on technological front, expect some positive breakthroughs in medical, high technology and biotechnology fields. 

Pluto-Jupiter Square (March 22 – April 5)

This is an important planetary event for people who deal with religion, religious and academic institutes. This square will create religious challenges as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of religion and academics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms. 

In your birth chart if Jupiter and Pluto are either in square, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are about to face new challenges in your life. Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a totally new and very different and challenging experience in that particular field. Be ready to accept this new challenge since you could receive the rewards if you succeed.

On a collective level, religious and academic and to some extent social fields are very likely to see changes coming in their respective fields. Initial reaction to the change might appear to be a bit confusing and perhaps chaotic, but the majority of us are going to embrace this new wave of change and are very likely to enjoy it.

Uranus-Rahu ninefold sextile (Uranus-Ketu ninefold trine)  (April 8-13)

Uranus-Rahu ninefold sextile is going to be very favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Uranus.  If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.  The ideas that you always wanted to pursue but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period.  It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.

Saturn-Jupiter ninefold square (April 9-14)

Jupiter-Saturn ninefold square is going to be unfavorable for those who have such square in their natal charts.  Loss of motivation, insecure feeling, loss of direction in life, general unhappiness, difficulty in keeping the faith in God are some of the symptoms of this square. This is like a test period. A period that can be viewed a real positive from self discovery standpoint since it will require you to bring best out of you to deal with situations around you.  If you have such a square in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through your current progressive cycle then you need to look at the things with a different attitude. The best thing to do is to stay the course of present action without making new commitment. Remember the time when you felt the life is not fair and not worth living, very unsure of yourself, and unhappy with family.. well, that’s how you going to feel this time. Keep your faith strong!

On a collective level, religions around the world will find difficulty in carrying out their activities, more controversies that test traditional moral values are likely to occur, and in general, religious authorities will have difficulty in keeping people happy.

Mars-Saturn quincunx (April 16-17)

Mars-Saturn quincunx can be responsible for a situation of tension and friction. For those who have such quincunx in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycles certainly need to be careful in dealing with the surroundings around them. Perhaps simply lay back and do nothing.  If you must involve in an unwanted but unavoidable situation, be extra careful and try to minimize the damage. Experiences like fire burns, rape, accidents, loss of precious things, and monetary disasters are real possibilities.

On the world scene, a short term but very intensive friction between India and Pakistan is likely. Terrorism and violence, especially in Israel-Palestine area will be on rise. Outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong occurrences of both natural and man-made calamities are real possibilities.

Mars-Rahu and Mars-Ketu Squares (April 20-21)

During these few days, Mars makes square to each of the lunar nodes. Typically these squares are very unfavorable and unfortunate in general.  For those who have these squares in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle, they need be careful. The best thing to do is to lay low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk.  

On the world scene, both natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during these days are likely.

Neptune-Ketu  ninefold trine (Neptune-Rahu ninefold sextile) (April 21-28)

For those who have well placed Neptune, and if she is in trine with any of the two lunar nodes, and are presently being influenced by any of these planets (Neptune, Rahu, or Ketu) through their current operating cycles, are likely to experience a very positive period. Rise in self confidence, feeling empowered, strong intuitive power, and in general feeling great about everything around are some of the symptoms that you are likely to enjoy.

Collectively on global scene, this period is very positive for Russia and China. Also, most of the technological areas are likely to make significant progress via inventions and discoveries. Spiritual and religious activities are likely to impart positive energy and create a very healthy atmosphere around us.
