Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Uranus-Rahu ninefold quincunx  (July 24 – Aug 12)

If in your birth chart Uranus is in the direct quincunx with the lunar node Rahu, and if any one of these two planets are influencing you now via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in your professional and financial areas during this period and be prepared for unwanted surprises and obstacles.  This quincunx can become dangerous, and ruin your plans and bring about the unexpected disaster in every which way.  In short, during this period you have been tested. If you have very strong and positively placed lunar nodes and Uranus in your birth chart, then perhaps you need not worry.

On a collective level, the United States and in particular, the Republic Party is likely to run into some very difficult period. Also, USA and China may go through a crisis situation during this period.

Saturn-Jupiter ninefold sextile (July 24 – Aug 17)

Jupiter-Saturn ninefold sextile is favorable for those who have such sextile in their natal charts.  A proper balance between the optimism and conservatism will protect you from becoming over optimistic (or aggressive) as well as over protective.  If you have such sextile in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you are likely to enjoy this period with full vigor and success as it would seem to come to you naturally. So enjoy! 

On a collective level, religions around the world will enjoy their activities with positive experiences.  People will likely to be convinced with the importance of moral values and will have no difficulty in maintaining their religious faith. 

Mars-Uranus Square (Aug 7-9)

Typically this square offers very unfavorable results with astonishing speed and without any notice.  For those who have such square in their birth chart, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle need be extra careful. The best thing to do is to stay low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk. Also, experiences like a sudden incident of fire, or an accident, or missing or drowning of a child are the doings of this square.

On the world scene, expect some sudden outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong possibilities of both natural and man-made calamities. The countries that are most likely to be affected during this period would be the United States of America, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and Israel.

Mars-Pluto Opposition (August 9-11)

This three day period is likely to be very frustrating for those who have Mars-Pluto opposition, conjunction or square in their natal charts. Typically this opposition is very unfavorable. Unexpected problems are likely to occur with astonishing speed and without any notice.  For those who have such opposition or conjunction in their birth chart, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle need to be on guard. Stay very low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk. Also, experiences like a sudden incident of fire, or an accident involving explosive material are likely. 

On the world scene, expect some sudden outbreak of an undesirable happening,  possibilities of both natural and man-made calamities. The countries that are most likely to be affected during this period would be the Iraq, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine and Israel, and the United States.

Neptune-Saturn ninefold quincunx (August 8-13)

If you have Neptune-Saturn quincunx in your birth chart, and if your current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets then you are likely to experience a subtle but serious financial or social setback or an unpleasant secret will be revealed to you. If you are planning to take a long distance (overseas) trip during this period, be extra careful for nasty surprises, or even being stranded in places you never dream of. On collective level, covert activities will be on rise. Possibilities of natural as well as man-made calamities are very likely during this period. Neptune-Jupiter ninefold square (Aug 9 – 15)

Both Jupiter and Neptune are considered as auspicious planets. While Jupiter deals with outward and material things Neptune’s influence on us is very abstract and subtle. If you have such square in your birth chart, and if you have any one of these two planets influencing you through your current progressive cycle then you are certainly going to experience a transformation (irreversible change) in your beliefs and moral values that you have been attached to. It’s time for marching ahead with a quantum step in the process of self discovery (or evolution). Embrace this period with total openness and vulnerability. Saturn-Rahu ninefold trine is usually favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Saturn.  If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.  The ideas that you always wanted to pursue your desired goals but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period.  It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.

Saturn-Uranus ninefold square is unfavorable for you if you have such a square or opposition in your birth chart. In addition, if the planet Uranus or Saturn is affecting your life via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in the areas which are affected by these planets as shown in your natal chart.  You should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such square or opposition can make things so miserable and difficult for you that most likely you are not going to forget them in your entire life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, the United States of America, Russia or China may experience a social or political turmoil at home as well as tensions rising between them. 

Mars-Saturn square (August 23-25)

Mars-Saturn square, for no apparent reason, changes a perfectly normal and healthy situation in to the one with a lot of tension and friction with new challenges. For those who have such square in the birth charts, and if any one of these planets are influencing them through the current progressive cycles certainly need to be on guard. If you must involve in an unwanted situation, be extra careful and try to minimize the damage. Experiences like fire burns, rape, accidents, loss of precious things, and monetary disasters are real possibilities.

On the world scene, a short term but very intensive friction between India and Pakistan is very likely. Terrorism and violence around the world, especially in Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel-Palestine area will be on rise. Neptune-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold squares are going to be very unfavorable for those who have such squares in their natal charts.  Expect sudden loss of money, power, demotions at work place and/or tarnished reputation in professional and social fields. If you have such squares in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you need be extra careful. The best thing to do is not make any new commitment, and totally avoid taking any business or monetary risk. Remember you never suspected a close friend, and then you suddenly find out that he or she secretly doing things behind your back to hurt you….well something similar is likely to happen….be careful!

On a collective level, secret activities all around the world are likely to accelerate including political covert activities. Social confusion and chaos in countries like Russia and China is a good possibility.

Pluto-Saturn ninefold conjunction (Aug 27 – Sept 1)

For those who have Pluto in conjunction with Saturn in their birth charts, watch out!  If Saturn and or Pluto is influencing you now through your current progressive chart, your life is more likely to be shaken up, and depending on the placement and the strength of these planets in your birth chart, the severity of the outcome will vary. Although the experience that you might go through seem unbearable, this may prove to be the beginning of the next plateau of your life cycle that you are destined for. 

On a collective level, the outbreak of violence and terrorism around the world is very probable. Also, natural calamities like earthquakes, severe weather conditions, natural as well as man made accidents are more likely during this period.
