Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

A partial Solar Eclipse (July 11, 2010)

A partial solar eclipse occurs on July 11 approximately during the hours of 19:00 to 20:30 GMT.  This eclipse will be visible in continents of Europe, North and South America and West Africa. 

Although this eclipse is not important since the Sun and Moon will be within 7-8 degrees from Ketu, the Southern or descending node in the sidereal zodiac sign Gemini, this eclipse, according to Vedic astrology, to some extent is likely to be unfavorable for those who have sidereal Gemini rising or Gemini as moon sign. 

For those who have the lunar nodes in conjunction with either Sun or Moon should watch-out.  It’s not a good day!  Take extra precaution and avoid any sort of outdoor activity requiring you to get out of house.

On world scene, Western Europe and Americas are likely to experience instability.

Neptune-Saturn quincunx (April 18 – July 7)

If you have Neptune-Saturn quincunx in your birth chart, and if your current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets then you are likely to experience a subtle but serious financial or social setback or an unpleasant secret will be revealed to you. If you are planning to take a long distance (overseas) trip during this period, be extra careful for nasty surprises, or even being stranded in places you never dream of. You may experience situations totally beyond your control.

On collective level, covert activities will be on rise. Possibilities of natural as well as man-made calamities are very likely during this period. Places like Russia and China are likely to experience political and social turmoil. Non-democratic countries are likely to see shift of power from one faction (or dictator) to another. Religious activities around the world will likely to appear more secretive than open. 

Saturn-Rahu ninefold quincunx (June 28 – July 4)

The Saturn-Rahu quincunx is not good for those who have such quincunx in their birth charts. In addition, if the lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), or Saturn is affecting you via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in areas affected by these planets as indicated by your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  This quincunx can make things so miserable and difficult for you that you are never going to forget them in your life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, Russia or China may experience social or political unrest. Also, in the United State for the Republic Party and republicans it may prove to be prudent to stay on guard during this period.

Neptune-Ketu ninefold trine (June 29 – July 17)

For those who have well placed Neptune, and if she is in trine with any of the two lunar nodes, and are presently being influenced by any of these planets (Neptune, Rahu, or Ketu) through their current operating cycles, are likely to experience a very positive period. Surge in self confident, increased intuitive power, and in general feeling great about everything around are some of the symptoms that you are likely to enjoy.

Collectively on global scene, this period is very positive for Russia and China. Also, most of the technological areas are likely to make significant progress via inventions and discoveries. Spiritual and religious activities are likely to impart positive energy and create a very healthy atmosphere around us.

Pluto-Uranus ninefold sextile (June 23 – July 19)

Uranus-Pluto sextile is going to be very favorable for those who have these planets favorably placed in their natal charts.  Expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.  The idea that you always wanted to pursue but somehow it could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period.  It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.

On a collective level, this is an extraordinary time for technological discoveries and inventions.  Expect some new important technological breakthroughs during this period. For the United States, in general, this period is going to be remarkable and very successful.

Pluto-Jupiter Square (July 4 – August 21)

This is an important planetary event for people who deal with religion, religious and academic institutes. This square will create religious challenges as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of religion and academics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms. 

In your birth chart if Jupiter and Pluto are either in square, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are about to face new challenges in your life. Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a totally new and a very different and challenging experience in that particular field. Be ready to accept this new challenge since you could receive the rewards if you succeed.

On a collective level, religious and academic and to some extent social fields are very likely to see changes coming in their respective fields. Initial reaction to the change might appear to be a bit confusing and perhaps chaotic, but the majority of us are going to embrace this new wave of change and are very likely to enjoy it.

Uranus-Saturn opposition (July 16 – Aug 4)

The fifth and the last leg of the Saturn-Uranus opposition will occur during July 16 – August 4, 2010 along the sidereal Virgo-Pisces axis.  It is not good for those who have such opposition or square in their birth charts. In addition, if the planet Uranus or Saturn is affecting your life via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in the areas which are affected by these planets as shown in your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such opposition can make things so miserable and difficult for you that most likely you are not going to forget them in your entire life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, in my opinion, this leg of the Saturn-Uranus opposition will be positive for the United States since this opposition occurs along the creative and spiritual Virgo-Pisces axis.  The Russia and/or China may experience social or political turmoil at home as well as tensions between the USA and Russia and USA and China rising. 

Pluto-Saturn ninefold trine (July 20-25)

If through your current progressive chart influence of either Pluto or Saturn is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to Saturn in your natal chart expect a very favorable time during this period. Such positive events will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspects. For example if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in a relationship, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding period.

On a collective level, this is a good period for European and Russian economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Uranus-Rahu ninefold conjunction (and Uranus/Ketu opposition)  (July 25 – Aug 15)

If in your birth chart Uranus is in conjunction with the lunar node Rahu, and if any one of these two planets are influencing you now via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in your professional and financial areas during this period. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  This conjunction can become dangerous, and ruin your plans and bring about the unexpected disaster in every which way.  In short, during this period you have been tested. If you have strong and positively placed lunar nodes and Uranus in your birth chart, then perhaps you need not worry.

On a collective level, the United States and in particular, the Republic Party and republicans are likely to run into some very difficult period. Also, USA and Russia and USA and China may go through a crisis situation during this period.

Saturn-Rahu ninefold opposition (and Ketu-Saturn ninefold conjunction) (July 26 -30)

The occurrence of Saturn-Rahu ninefold opposition is not good for those who have such opposition in their birth charts. In addition, if the lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), or Saturn is affecting you via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in areas which are affected by these planets as indicated by your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such opposition can make things so miserable and difficult for you that you are never going to forget them in your life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed.

Mars-Neptune Quincunx (July 24-26)

This short period is likely to be very frustrating for those who have Mars-Neptune opposition, quincunx, square, or conjunction in their natal charts. Typically this quincunx is very unfavorable from the point of view of being deceived or becoming a victim of a scam or scheme. Usually one does not notice problems until it’s too late. For those who have such quincunx, opposition or conjunction in their birth chart, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle need to be on guard and absolutely not take any risk whatsoever. Stay very low key and do not make any new commitment. Also, unwanted experiences involving external forces, such as ghost or spirit, or a victim of a voodoo experiment are very possible. 

On the world scene, outbreak of covert activities among leading nations and possibilities of both natural and man-made calamities are likely. The countries that are most likely to be affected during this period will be: the United States of America, Russia, China, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and Israel.

Mars-Uranus opposition (July 28-30)

Watch-out for these 3 days in July from sudden and undesirable happenings in your life if you have such opposition or square in your birth chart.  It could be a sudden loss of money, unfortunate accident, or a bad news. Only thing I suppose you could do is be prepared and avoid taking in new risk during this period.

On a collective level, natural and man-made calamities are likely, especially in the United States of America.

Mars-Saturn Conjunction (July 28-31)

Mars-Saturn conjunction changes a perfectly normal and healthy situation in to the one with a lot of tension and friction. For those who have such conjunction in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycles certainly need to be on guard. Simply lay back and do nothing.  If you must involve in an unwanted situation, be extra careful and try to minimize the damage. Experiences like fire burns, rape, accidents, theft, loss of precious things, and monetary disasters are real possibilities.

On the world scene, a short term but very intensive friction between India and Pakistan is very likely. Terrorism and violence, especially in Israel-Palestine area will be on rise. Outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong occurrences of both natural and man-made calamities are real possibilities.
