Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

A weak lunar Eclipse (June 5, 19:13 GMT)

A weak lunar eclipse occurs on June 5 during the hours of 18:00 – 20:30 GMT.  It’s not a strong eclipse, and it will be visible in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and  Australia.   Since it’s a weaker type I don’t expect it to influence the world events in a significantly negative way. 

An annular Solar Eclipse (June 21, 6:42 GMT)

An annular solar eclipse occurs on June 21, approximately around 6:42 GMT and lasting for about 10 minutes with maximum eclipse duration under a minute. The central path of this eclipse passes through Central African Republic, Congo, Ethiopia, south of Pakistan and northern India, and China.  A partial eclipse will be visible in north and east Africa, south-east of Europe, most of Asia, and north of Australia.

This eclipse is important since the Sun and Moon will be within 2 degrees from Rahu, the Northern or ascending node in the sidereal zodiac sign Gemini. Consequently this eclipse, according to Vedic astrology, is likely to be unfavorable for those who have sidereal Gemini rising or Gemini as moon sign. 

For those who have the lunar nodes in conjunction with either Sun or Moon in their natal charts should watch-out.  Take an extra precaution and avoid any sort of outdoor activity requiring you to get out of house during the time of eclipse.

On world scene, Africa, most of Asia might experience undesirable happenings in the following next six to eight weeks.

Retrograde Mercury (June 18 – July 12) 

On June 18, the planet Mercury becomes retrograde in sidereal Gemini. It will stay retrograde in Gemini all the time while it’s retrograde. Typically retrograde Mercury means anxieties, communication breakdowns, unexpected delays, frustrations, missing deadlines, unforeseen obstacles and disappointment in daily chores. Retrograde Mercury in Gemini means more frustrating periods for leaders communicators, authors, editors, small business people, people that deal with any kind of communication business.  This is the time not to start a new project or venture, but rather reflect on what’s been done so far.  Also, this is the best time to cleanup that closet and do other chores that you have been postponing due to lack of time.

In addition, if you have dominating Mercury in your birth chart and if Mercury is currently your operating planet, then you are more likely to experience the pronounced effects of retrograde Mercury during this period with respect to matters signified by the house it’s currently transiting through in your progressive chart.

Retrograde Venus (May 13 – June 25)

On May 13, 2020 Venus becomes retrograde and remains in sidereal Taurus till it becomes direct on June 25.  Venus stays in Taurus all the time while retrograde. Venus becomes retrograde about once every 19 months, and stays retrograde for about six weeks.  On the 1st of August Venus enters sidereal Gemini. Venus transits through Taurus from March 28 through August 1, 2020.

In general, a retrograde Venus in Taurus (a sign ruled by Venus) means a very challenging period for women, marriages, home life, lovers, entertainment industries. During the retrograde period, expect the divorce rates to peak, fighting between spouses to intensify, and delays, frustrations, and misunderstandings to take a center-stage in domestic matters. Taurus being the earth sign (money matters, hard work) the retrograde Venus in Taurus also means challenges for entrepreneurs, blue class workers, small businesses (especially owned by women), restaurant and hotel owners; and also precious stones and jewelry business owners.

If you have a dominating Venus in your birth chart, and if your current planetary cycle influences your life via Venus then you are more likely to experience the effects of the retrograde Venus during May 13 – June 15. The entertainers like actors, actresses, musicians, comedians, movie directors and producers, entrepreneurs, blue class workers, small businesses (especially owned by women), restaurant and hotel owners; and precious stones and jewelry business owners may find themselves in a miserable situation during the retrograde Venus period especially if they are currently being influenced by Venus through their current progressive cycles.

Retrograde Jupiter (May 15 – September 13) 

Jupiter becomes retrograde in sidereal Capricorn on May 15 and with its retrograde motion returns to Sagittarius on July 1, 2020. It remains retrograde in Sagittarius until September 13.  

While in Capricorn, being a cardinal and earth sign ruled by Saturn, Jupiter in Capricorn (despite debilitated in Capricorn) has a tendency to enhance material prosperity. But during its retrograde period in Capricorn and given the Pluto’s presence in Capricorn, the rate of destruction of material wealth is likely to be very significant.

For those who have a well placed Jupiter in their birth charts and if Jupiter’s period is currently in operation, such people are likely to feel the deceleration in their progress.  Remember it’s only temporary!  Need to put more energy in to whatever you do to achieve what you need to achieve.

On the world scene, particularly in religious world, “confusion” will dominate and things are likely to move at much slower rate.  The world economy may experience a slower growth.

Retrograde Saturn (May 11 – September 29)

Saturn became retrograde on May 11 in sidereal Capricorn, and is going to stay retrograde till September 29 in Capricorn.  For those who have a well placed Saturn in their birth charts and if Saturn’s period is currently in operation, then they are likely to experience slow progress. Best way to deal with retrograde Saturn is to put more energy in to whatever you do to work towards your goal.

On the world scene, generally, the projects that deal with expansion are likely to either stay on hold or experience sluggish progress.  In religious world, things are likely to move at frustratingly slow rate.  In the political arena what may seem like progress will turn out to be a disaster.

Rahu-Jupiter ninefold sextile (Ketu-Jupiter ninefold trine) (May 19 – June 13)

Jupiter-Rahu ninefold trine is favorable for those who have such trine in their natal charts.  A proper balance between the optimism and conservatism will protect you from becoming over optimistic (or aggressive) as well as over protective.  If you have such trine in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you are likely to enjoy this period with full vigor and success as it would seem to come to you naturally. So enjoy! 

On a collective level, religions around the world will enjoy their activities with positive experiences.  People will likely to be convinced with the importance of moral values and will have no difficulty in maintaining their religious faith. 

Uranus-Saturn ninefold quincunx (May 24 – June 1)

When Saturn-Uranus ninefold quincunx occurs, it is not good for you if you have such quincunx or square in your birth chart. In addition, if the planet Uranus or Saturn is affecting your life via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in the areas which are affected by these planets as shown in your natal chart.  You should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such quincunx can make things very miserable and difficult for you. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, the United States of America, Russia or China may experience social or political turmoil at home as well as tensions rising among them. 

Pluto-Saturn ninefold sextile (May 26 – June 21)

If through your Gochar (transit) chart, influence of either Pluto or Saturn is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to Saturn in your natal chart expect a very favorable time during this period. Such positive events will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspects. For example if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in a relationship, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding period.

On a collective level, this is a good period for European and Russian economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Pluto-Neptune ninefold quincunx (June 8 – July 8)

For those who have quincunx, square, or opposition of Pluto and Neptune in their birth charts, and for those whose Gochar (transit) chart is influenced by either of these planets are likely to experience a subtle setback due to deceptive surroundings around you.  Such quincunx can become a very strong force in creative an illusion and as a result confusion around and with in you. It can become very difficult to stay cool, and there’s not a whole lot you can do about it except by not venturing into anything new and bear with the current situation with a grin. 

On a collective level, expect an outbreak of violence and terrorist activities in Middle east, especially in Afghanistan, Israel and Palestine region. Also, the occurrences of natural as well as man-made calamities are more likely. Some of the east-European countries, Russia, and China may experience political as well as social turmoil.

Neptune-Saturn ninefold square (June 10-21)

If you have a Neptune-Saturn square in your birth chart, and if any one of these two planets influencing you now through your current progressive chart, then during this period you might want to consider postponing your plans of expansion or any new venture, and just stay in a defensive mode.  This square has a tendency to ruin your plans in a very deceptive manner, and usually, there is very little you can do about it once the process begins.

On a collective level, countries like China and Russia may face some difficult time during this period.

Uranus-Jupiter ninefold quincunx (June 11-15)

While Jupiter deals with outward and material things Uranus’s influence is very sudden and intense. If you have this quincunx in your birth chart, and if you have any one of these two planets influencing you through your Gochar (transit) chart then you are certainly going to experience a period of self inquiry confrontation requiring for you to very closely pay attention to your own self. Of course, it’s up to you to deal with this process  and courageously and spiritually transform by understanding yourself better or escape from it to have to go through the similar frustration (experience) again in future. It also means you have the opportunity to transform (irreversible change) in your beliefs and moral values that you have been attached to. This period is challenging.  If you overcome the challenge it’s time for marching ahead with a quantum step in the process of self discovery (or evolution). 

On the world scene, world religions are likely to be challenged with earthshaking ideas that they must attend to. The religious leaders, who are willing to be open minded and ready to listen and act on new and fresh ideas, are the ones that going to be responsible to transform our religious world to a new level. Others are going to fade away with time.

Neptune-Mars conjunction (June 12-14)

This short 3-day period may turn out to be deadly for those who have unfavorable placing of Mars with respect to Neptune in their natal charts.  Expect subtle but very strong and negative forces working against you that might bring you misfortune. Stay low key and avoid taking any unwanted or unnecessary risk.  For those who have well placed Neptune-Mars configurations in their birth charts would likely to be rewarded with fame and good times.

On a collective level, covert activities will be at their peak. China and Russia are likely to experience some very drastic changes in the political arena which will influence the psyche of those nation at a deeper level.

Uranus-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold square(s) (June 14-20)

Uranus-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold squares are going to be very unfavorable for those who have such squares in their natal charts.  Sudden loss of money and power, demotions at work place and/or tarnished reputation in professional and social fields are some of the symptoms of these squares. If you have these squares in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you need be very careful. The best thing to do is not to make any new commitment, and totally avoid taking any business or monetary risk. Remember the time when you felt financially very secured, happy with family, and suddenly the landscape turned against you and everything disappeared. Well, if not exactly the same way but something like this has a good potential to happen (again) …be careful!

On a collective level, United States and particularly the President Trump and his administration should take extra precaution in dealing with foreign matters. Terrorist activities are likely to occur in the United States besides the volatile region of the Middle-East (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Israel and Palestine). 

Pluto-Jupiter Conjunction (June 19 – July 9)

This is an important planetary event for people who deal with religion, religious and academic institutes. This conjunction could become responsible for a unique transformation in the field of religion as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of religion and academics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms. 

In your birth chart if Jupiter and Pluto are either in conjunction or opposition, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your Gochar (transit) chart, then you are perhaps standing on the thresh-hold of a new era that’s about to begin in your life. Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a totally new and a very different experience in that particular field. Be ready to accept this new settings with new challenges as well as the rewards that come with them.

On a collective level, religious and academic and to some extent social fields are very likely to see changes coming in their respective fields. Initial reaction to the change might appear to be a bit confusing and perhaps chaotic, but the majority of us are going to embrace this new wave of change and are very likely to enjoy it.

Mars-Rahu and Mars-Ketu Squares (June 25-27)

During these few days, Mars makes square to each of the lunar nodes. Typically these squares are very unfavorable and unfortunate in general.  For those who have these squares in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle, they need be careful. The best thing to do is to lay low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk.  

On the world scene, both natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during these days are likely.

Uranus-Saturn ninefold opposition (June 30 – July 5)

The Saturn-Uranus ninefold opposition  is mostly unfavorable for those who have such opposition or square in their birth charts. In addition, if the planet Uranus or Saturn is affecting your life via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in the areas which are affected by these planets as shown in your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such opposition can make things so miserable and difficult for you that most likely you are not going to forget them in your entire life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed.
