Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Pluto’s entry in the sidereal zodiac sign Sagittarius (Jan 28 – May 28)

One of the important planetary events of this year is the transit of the modern planet Pluto from the sidereal zodiac sign Scorpio to Sagittarius. It first occurs on January 28. Pluto stays in Sagittarius till May 28, and then with its retrograde motion returns to Scorpio and stays in Scorpio till November 28. After November 28, 2005 it will remain in Sagittarius for the following 14 to15 years (till February 2020).  Although it’s going to be in Sagittarius for only about 4 months before it returns to Scorpio, Pluto being the planet of transformation will certainly affect the matters related to Sagittarius in a big way. The drastic changes in our collective moral and religious perceptions are certainly going to be manifested in the way we never experienced before by Pluto’s transit in Sagittarius. This era (next 15 years) will be remembered as the period of religious revolution.  The way we have been used to deal with religions will no longer be our norms.  Although it’s very likely that some of the world religions will either become obsolete or transformed into other forms the religious or moral codes will be greatly influenced by our collective spiritual experiences. And in that sense a subtle but most effective transformation of world religions during this unique era of 15 years is likely to take us to a level where the norms solely based on spiritual experiences will dictate and guide our lives with new level of understanding. 

In scientific and technological areas lot of drastic changes and emerging new ideas will find their way into innovations and discoveries.  The scientific and technological growth rate will rise at a very rapid pace.  However, it will be the first time the scientific and technological research will be more focused in areas that will bridge the gap between the science and morality. The likely areas of research will be in biotechnology, medicine, spiritual healing, and life-force related activities. A new wave of philosophers with their new perspectives on living, in general, will certainly transform our world in next 15 years to a new level of understanding. 

On individual level for those who have Sagittarius ninefold ascendant should get ready for a brand new cycle of change, especially a very pronounced cycle if Pluto is a dominant planet in your birth charts. The changes that might occur would be very subtle and would deal with pretty much all aspects of your life including relationship, marriage, profession, surroundings, common perceptions and beliefs, and the way of living.

Retrograde Mercury (Mar 20 – Apr 12) 

On March 20, the planet Mercury becomes retrograde in Pisces. It will stay retrograde until April 12 in Pisces. Typically retrograde Mercury means anxieties, communication breakdowns, unexpected delays, frustrations, missing deadlines, unforeseen obstacles and disappointment in daily chores. Retrograde Mercury in Pisces means more frustrating periods for anthropologists, religious leaders, reformers, philosophers, and volunteers. This is the time not to start a new project or venture, but rather reflect on what’s been done so far.  Also, this is the best time to cleanup that closet and do other chores that you have been postponing due to lack of time.

In addition, if you have dominating Mercury in your birth chart, and if your current planetary cycle provides the results of Mercury then you are more likely to experience the pronounced effects of retrograde Mercury during this period.

Pluto-Rahu trine (and Pluto-Ketu sextile) (Feb 27 – Apr 1)

If through your current progressive chart influence of either Pluto or lunar node is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to lunar nodes in your natal chart expect a very favorable time during March. A positive event will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspects. For example if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in a relationship, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding month 

On a collective level, this is a good period for European economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Neptune-Jupiter trine (March 7 – 20)

This auspicious trine is good for all world religions as well as for people who are engaged in activities that help us expand spiritually, morally, socially as well as materially.  

For those who have well placed Jupiter and Neptune in their birth chart (conjunction, trine, sextile, opposition) are likely to experience very positive period during this period.  People involved in the religious activities are likely experience a sudden boost in their daily activities, and religious authorities are going to be well recognized by societies.

On a collective level, religious, academic, and social fields are very likely to enjoy the new and positive changes occurring in their respective field.

Mars-Saturn Opposition (Mar 6 – 9 )

Mars-Saturn opposition, for no apparent reason, changes a perfectly normal and healthy situation in to the one with a lot of tension and friction. For those who have such opposition in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycles certainly need to be on guard. Simply lay back.  If you must involve in an unwanted situation, be extra careful and try to minimize the damage. Experiences like fire burns, rape, accidents, loss of precious things, and monetary disasters are real possibilities.

On the world scene, a short term but very intensive friction between India and Pakistan is very likely. Terrorism and violence, especially in Israel-Palestine area will be on rise. Outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong occurrences of both natural and man-made calamities are real possibilities.

Mars-Rahu, and Mars-Ketu Squares (March 11 – 14 )

From March 11 through March 14 Mars makes square to each of the lunar nodes. Typically these squares are very unfavorable and unfortunate in general.  For those who have these squares in their birth chart, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle need be careful. The best thing to do is to lay low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk.  

On the world scene, expect some both natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during these four days in March

Uranus-Ketu ninefold trine (Uranus-Rahu ninefold sextile)  (Mar 12-17)

Uranus-Ketu trine is going to be very favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Uranus.  If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.  The ideas that you always wanted to pursue but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period.  It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.

Pluto-Uranus ninefold sextile (March 9 -22)

Uranus-Pluto sextile is going to be very favorable for those who have these planets favorably placed in their natal charts.  Expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.

On a collective level, this is an extraordinary time for technological discoveries and inventions.  Expect some new important technological breakthroughs..
