Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Saturn’s transit in the sidereal zodiac sign Scorpio (October 31)

On October 31, Saturn will enter the sidereal zodiac sign Scorpio, and it will remain in Scorpio till January 26, 2017.

Scorpio being the water and fixed sign, for about the next two and half years, Saturn will strongly influence the world psyche, world religions, commerce, and economy. Those who have Saturn in Scorpio will see their lives transformed to a new settings (Saturn return) due to a drastic change (mostly at emotional and psychological level). In my opinion, it’s going to be a very positive and exciting two and half years for those who have dominant Saturn in their birth chart and have Virgo, Gemini, Aquarius, and Capricorn as their natal ninefold ascendant. 

In the next two and half years, on a world political scene, countries like India and Pakistan will make news headlines. Covert activities in most part of the world will be on rise. Terrorism or terrorist activities will gain new found momentum with increasing number of incidences. The Middle-East region will continue to be the battle ground, especially the countries like Syria, Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Turkey and Iran.

Neptune-Rahu ninefold quincunx (October 23 – November 7)

If you have a Neptune-Rahu quincunx (with either of these planets being especially in the sixth, eighth, or the twelfth house in their birth chart) and if your current operating cycle is influenced by one of these planets, then you are likely to experience instability in your life caused due to sudden change in your routine activities and surroundings.  Such experiences might turn out to be very unfortunate and frustrating.  It would certainly be wise not to commit to anything new and stay low key during this period.

On collective level, social as well as economic turmoil in Russia and China can not be ruled out.  Covert activities around the world may find a new momentum (but because of Neptune’s secretive character we may never know) with regard to terrorism and other international conflicts.

Saturn-Jupiter ninefold trine (November 1-11)

Jupiter-Saturn ninefold trine is favorable for those who have a jupiter-Saturn trine in their natal charts.  A proper balance between the optimism and conservatism will protect you from becoming over optimistic (or aggressive) as well as over protective.  If you have such trine in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you are likely to enjoy this period with full vigor and success as it would seem to come to you naturally. So enjoy! 

On a collective level, religions around the world will enjoy their activities with positive experiences.  People will likely to be convinced with the importance of moral values and will have no difficulty in maintaining their religious faith. 

Pluto-Neptune ninefold trine (November 1-18)

On individual level, if in your birth chart Pluto is in sextile with Neptune or Pluto-Neptune form a ninefold trine, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are very likely to be positively affected by this trine.  Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a positive experience in that particular field. Enjoy this experience!

At a collective level, the Pluto-Neptune ninefold trine is positive in either bringing terrorism under control or even wiping out major terrorist cells through covert operation. In addition, this ninefold trine is good for Russia and to some extent for China. Also, on technological front, expect some positive breakthroughs in medical, high technology and biotechnology fields. 

Neptune-Saturn ninefold opposition (November 6-11)

If you have a Neptune-Saturn square or opposition in your birth chart, and if your current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets then you are likely to experience a subtle but serious financial or social setback or an unpleasant secret will be revealed to you. If you are planning to take a long distance (overseas) trip during this period, be extra careful of nasty surprises, or even being stranded in places you never dream of.

On the collective level, covert activities will be on rise. Possibilities of natural as well as man-made calamities are very likely. Places like Russia and China are likely to experience political and social turmoil. Non-democratic countries are likely to see shift of power from one faction (or dictator) to another. Religious activities around the world will likely to appear more secretive than open.

Pluto-Saturn ninefold sextile (November 6-12)

If through your current progressive chart influence of either Pluto or Saturn is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to Saturn in your natal chart expect a very favorable time during this period. Such positive events will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspects. For example if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in a relationship, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding period.

On a collective level, this is a good period for European and Russian economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Mars-Pluto Conjunction (November 9-10)

Typically this conjunction offers very sudden and extremely undesirable result with astonishing speed.  For those who have such conjunction in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle need be extra careful. For those ones perhaps these might prove to be the worst five days of the year. Avoid making any new commitment and taking any new risk. Also, experiences like a sudden incident of fire, or an accident, or a financial misfortune are the doings of this conjunction.

On the world scene, escalation of terrorism and violence, especially in Israel-Palestine area are very likely. Also, sudden outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong possibilities of both natural and man-made calamities are also likely. The countries that are most likely to be affected during these days will be the Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine and Israel.

Pluto-Jupiter ninefold opposition (November 9-23)

In your birth chart if Jupiter and Pluto are either in conjunction or opposition, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are perhaps standing on the thresh-hold of a new era that’s about to begin in your life. Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a totally new and a very different experience in that particular field. Be ready to accept this new settings with new challenges as well as the rewards that come with them.

On a collective level, religious and academic and to some extent social fields are very likely to see changes coming in their respective fields. Initial reaction to the change might appear to be a bit confusing and perhaps chaotic, but the majority of us are going to embrace this new wave of change and are very likely to enjoy it.

Mars-Uranus Square (November 11-12)

Typically this square offers very unfavorable results with astonishing speed and without any notice.  For those who have such square in their birth chart, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle need be extra careful. The best thing to do is to lay low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk. Also, experiences like a sudden incident of fire, or an accident, or missing or drowning of a child are the doings of this square.

On the world scene, expect some sudden outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong possibilities of both natural and man-made calamities. The countries that are most likely to be affected during this period would be the United States of America, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and Israel.

Mars-Rahu and Mars-Ketu Squares (November 16-18)

During these few days, Mars makes square to each of the lunar nodes. Typically these squares are very unfavorable and unfortunate in general.  For those who have these squares in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle, they need be careful. The best thing to do is to lay low key, not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk.  

On the world scene, both natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during these days are likely.

Uranus-Saturn ninefold quincunx (November 19-23)

When Saturn-Uranus ninefold quincunx occurs, it is not good for you if you have such quincunx or square in your birth chart. In addition, if the planet Uranus or Saturn is affecting your life via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in the areas which are affected by these planets as shown in your natal chart.  You should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such quincunx can make things very miserable and difficult for you. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, the United States of America, Russia or China may experience social or political turmoil at home as well as tensions rising among them. 

Pluto-Uranus square (November 22 – April 6)

On an individual level, if in your birth chart Pluto makes a square with Uranus, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are very likely to be affected by this square.  Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a sudden and a totally new and a very unpleasant experience in that particular field. Be ready to face this unwanted experience. Stay alert and try not to start a new venture that requires taking risk. It’s like you are on a business trip or company assignment and you are immediately called off or caught in a situation that you find very difficult if not impossible to get out. 

At a collective level, the Pluto-Uranus square could bring a unique change in the way the current US administration deals with other nations with respect to its war against terrorism agenda and other international issues, and also with its domestic matters. There will be a transformation of a political strategy that is likely to become responsible for a change in the current political agenda and foreign policy matters of the Obama administration as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of politics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms. Expect some serious issues that the Obama administration could get tangled with.

Saturn-Ketu ninefold opposition (and Rahu-Saturn ninefold conjunction) (Nov 24-27)

The occurrence of Saturn-Ketu ninefold opposition is not good for those who have such opposition in their birth charts. In addition, if the lunar node Rahu or Ketu, or Saturn is affecting you via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in areas which are affected by these planets as indicated by your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such opposition can make things so miserable and difficult for you that you are never going to forget them in your life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, Russia or China may experience social or political unrest. Also, in the United State for the Republic Party and republicans it may prove to be prudent to stay on guard during this period.
