The important planetary configurations for July include the last leg of the Uranus-Saturn (July 16 – Aug 4) opposition, Uranus-Mars (July 28-30) opposition, Neptune-Saturn (April 18 – July 10) and Neptune-Mars (July 24-26) quincunxes, Pluto-Jupiter square (July 4 – Aug 21), Saturn-Mars (July 28-31) conjunction and Uranus-Rahu (July 25 – Aug 15) ninefold conjunction.  The auspicious planetary configurations include Pluto-Saturn ninefold trine, Pluto-Uranus (June 23 – July 19) and Neptune-Rahu (June 29 – July 17) ninefold sextiles. 

The fifth and the last leg of the Saturn-Uranus opposition will occur during July 16 – August 4, 2010 along the sidereal Virgo-Pisces axis.  This leg of the Saturn-Uranus opposition will be positive for the United States since this opposition occurs along the creative and spiritual Virgo-Pisces axis.  The Russia and/or China may experience social or political turmoil at home as well as tensions between the USA and Russia and USA and China will be on rise. 

The manifestation of the Uranus-Mars opposition is likely to be reflected in political crisis in USA, especially with the Obama administration, Afghan war crisis involving US military, and the natural and man-made calamities that might include hurricanes in the gulf of Mexico region as well as the on going BP oil spill crisis.

The Neptune-Saturn and Neptune-Mars quincunxes will become responsible for increased covert activities in Middle East, Russia, Europe and China. It may also become responsible for political deception in USA politics, especially involving the republican party members.

The Pluto-Jupiter square is likely to influence the religion and religious activities reflecting a major shift in religious norms and transformation.  The violence, in the name of religion, in the Middle-East region is likely to erupt and spread around that region and beyond.

The Saturn-Mars conjunction may be reflected in a short term but very intensive friction between India and Pakistan. Terrorism and violence, especially in Israel-Palestine area will be on rise. Outbreak of an undesirable happening, and strong occurrences of both natural and man-made calamities are real possibilities.

The auspicious ninefold sextiles will continue to be responsible for scientific advances and technological breakthrough in areas like biotechnology, medicine, high tech and communication sciences.

The countries that are most likely to be affected during this month will be:  United States, Russia, China, and Middle-East (Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine and Israel).

• United States of America:    

President Obama and his administration:

His operating planet Neptune, being stationed in the seventh house of his progressive chart, President Obama must continue to deal with people of political spin and deception. With Mars-Neptune quincunx (July 24-26) the manifestation of Neptune is likely to be very visible and will be reflected in a secretive political event. In addition, Saturn in the seventh house of his ninefold progressive chart is not going to make it easy for him as he will continue to deal with ongoing and upcoming unforeseen crisis as well as pressure from his republican adversaries. During July, the transiting Neptune will continue to oppose his natal Rahu, and as a result, he will more likely to be challenged by the staunch conservatives than the extreme liberals. Overall, July, (at least the first half) will be a trying month for him. And towards the end of month (the last week) another crisis or political bombshell is likely to occur that will put more political pressure on him. 

The Country:

The fifth and the last leg of the Uranus-Saturn opposition is likely to leave its distinct mark by manifesting itself in a crisis and triumph like situation reflecting the core American values and characteristics during the second half of the month.  Towards the end of the month, the Uranus-Mars opposition (July 28-30) will be reflected in political chaos, dramatic changes on the political scene, natural and manmade calamities.. Combined with Neptune-Mars quincux (July 24-26), the last week of July may turn out to be politically dramatic and eventful. Financial markets will be extremely volatile during this period.  

The Pluto-Jupiter square will certainly be responsible for dramatic influence on society from morality and the norms of morality and religion (the role of religion) standpoint. A collective and profound transformation of morality which has been in work for quite sometime will take an important step forward through the serious questioning of the present usefulness of religious norms, and in that very process the seeds of future spirituality will be sowed. 

·        Russia:  The first ten days of July is the period of confusion and this period may prove to be very chaotic for the Russian government from political, social and economic standpoint.  Covert activities will certainly be on rise during this period, and occurrences of natural and man-made calamities are more likely to happen during the first and the last week of the month. The repercussions of Pluto-Jupiter square may be reflected in new social trend for spiritual expansion.

·        Europe:  The last two weeks of July will prove to be challenging from social, political, religious and economical progress standpoint. In addition, the manifestation of Jupiter-Pluto square during the month and Saturn-Mars conjunction during the last three days of the month will be reflected in social spiritual transformation through serious questioning of the religious norms and actions of authorities. During the last week, the occurrences of natural and man-made calamities are likely. 

·        China, Japan, and Pacific-rim countries:  The first ten days of July are certainly not good for China from politics standpoint. During the same period friction between China and her neighbors will be on rise. From the economic expansion standpoint, the second and the third week of the month is positive for the entire region.  However, financial markets will become extremely volatile.  Destruction of wealth due to natural calamities or man made accidents are also likely during the last week of the month. 

·        Middle East:  During the first and the last week of the month, terrorism, violence, social unrest are likely to accelerate, especially in Israeli-Palestine and Afghan-Pakistani region. Also, for the entire month, religious authorities are likely to come under pressure as the present religious norms will be indirectly being questioned by people.

·        Religion:  The entire month from the global religion standpoint may see the beginning of a new period of transformation where world religions are likely to coalesce to form a new foundation for world spirituality. Of course, the transformation will be painful and extremely challenging for conservative religious leaders as they will be forced to shed their traditional approaches of dealing with people as they face the changing world with new demands for redefining the morality standards and norms.

·        Natural and Man-made Calamities:  The natural calamities like extreme weather conditions, wildfires, heavy rains, air crashes, as well as man made accidents are more likely to occur on July 10-12 and 17-31.

      Earthquakes: Based on our earthquake prediction model, the earthquake(s) of magnitude 7 or higher, if occur, are likely to occur on July 7-11, 20-21, 24 and 30.

     While man-made calamities may manifest themselves in terrorism, unrest, violence, accidents, and air crashes, the natural calamities are likely to include extreme weather conditions such as severe cold winters, and equally intensive droughts, hurricanes or typhoons, thunderstorms, earthquakes and fires.
