Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Retrograde Venus (May 13 – June 25)

On May 13, 2020 Venus becomes retrograde and remains in sidereal Taurus till it becomes direct on June 25.  Venus stays in Taurus all the time while retrograde. Venus becomes retrograde about once every 19 months, and stays retrograde for about six weeks.  On the 1st of August Venus enters sidereal Gemini. Venus transits through Taurus from March 28 through August 1, 2020.

In general, a retrograde Venus in Taurus (a sign ruled by Venus) means a very challenging period for women, marriages, home life, lovers, entertainment industries. During the retrograde period, expect the divorce rates to peak, fighting between spouses to intensify, and delays, frustrations, and misunderstandings to take a center-stage in domestic matters. Taurus being the earth sign (money matters, hard work) the retrograde Venus in Taurus also means challenges for entrepreneurs, blue class workers, small businesses (especially owned by women), restaurant and hotel owners; and also precious stones and jewelry business owners.

If you have a dominating Venus in your birth chart, and if your current planetary cycle influences your life via Venus then you are more likely to experience the effects of the retrograde Venus during May 13 – June 15. The entertainers like actors, actresses, musicians, comedians, movie directors and producers, entrepreneurs, blue class workers, small businesses (especially owned by women), restaurant and hotel owners; and precious stones and jewelry business owners may find themselves in a miserable situation during the retrograde Venus period especially if they are currently being influenced by Venus through their current progressive cycles.

Retrograde Jupiter (May 15 – September 13) 

Jupiter becomes retrograde in sidereal Capricorn on May 15 and with its retrograde motion returns to Sagittarius on July 1, 2020. It remains retrograde in Sagittarius until September 13.  

While in Capricorn, being a cardinal and earth sign ruled by Saturn, Jupiter in Capricorn (despite debilitated in Capricorn) has a tendency to enhance material prosperity. But during its retrograde period in Capricorn and given the Pluto’s presence in Capricorn, the rate of destruction of material wealth is likely to be very significant.

For those who have a well placed Jupiter in their birth charts and if Jupiter’s period is currently in operation, such people are likely to feel the deceleration in their progress.  Remember it’s only temporary!  Need to put more energy in to whatever you do to achieve what you need to achieve.

On the world scene, particularly in religious world, “confusion” will dominate and things are likely to move at much slower rate.  The world economy may experience a slower growth.

Retrograde Saturn (May 11 – September 29)

Saturn became retrograde on May 11 in sidereal Capricorn, and is going to stay retrograde till September 29 in Capricorn.  For those who have a well placed Saturn in their birth charts and if Saturn’s period is currently in operation, then they are likely to experience slow progress. Best way to deal with retrograde Saturn is to put more energy in to whatever you do to work towards your goal.

On the world scene, generally, the projects that deal with expansion are likely to either stay on hold or experience sluggish progress.  In religious world, things are likely to move at frustratingly slow rate.  In the political arena what may seem like progress will turn out to be a disaster.

Uranus-Jupiter ninefold opposition (Apr 8 – May 13)

While Jupiter deals with outward and material things Uranus’s impulse is very sudden and intense. If you have such opposition in your birth chart, and if you have any one of these two planets influencing you through your Gochar (transit) chart, then you are certainly going to experience a transformation (irreversible change) in your beliefs and moral values that you have been attached to. This period is challenging and of transformation.  If you overcome the challenge, it’s time for marching ahead with a quantum step in the process of self discovery (or self evolution). 

On the world scene, world religions are likely to be challenged with earthshaking ideas that they must attend to. Those religious leaders, who are willing to be open minded and ready to listen and act on new and fresh ideas, are the ones that going to be responsible to transform our religious world to a new level. Others will fade away with time. The new age philosophers are likely to emerge as lead contemporary philosophers.

Pluto-Saturn ninefold sextile (Apr 12 – May 7)

If through your Gochar (transit) chart, influence of either Pluto or Saturn is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to Saturn in your natal chart expect a very favorable time during this period. Such positive events will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspects. For example if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in a relationship, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding period.

On a collective level, this is a good period for European and Russian economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Saturn-Rahu quincunx (Apr 18 – May 17)

The Saturn-Rahu quincunx is a challenging aspect for those who have such quincunx in their birth charts. In addition, if the lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), or Saturn is affecting you via your Gochar (transit) chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in areas affected by these planets as indicated by your natal chart.  Such people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such quincunx can make things so miserable and difficult for you that you are never going to forget them in your life. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that you want to begin till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, Russia or China may experience social or political unrest. Also, in the United State for the Republican Party and republicans including for the republican president Trump it may prove to be prudent to stay on guard during this period.

Neptune-Jupiter ninefold trine (Apr 19 – May 24)

This auspicious ninefold trine is good for all world religions as well as for people who are engaged in activities that help us expand morally, socially as well as materially.  

For those who have well placed Jupiter and Neptune in their birth chart (conjunction, trine, sextile, opposition) are likely to have a very positive experience during this period.  People involved in the religious activities are likely experience a sudden boost in their daily activities, and religious authorities are going to be well recognized by societies.

On a collective level, religious, academic, and social fields are very likely to enjoy the new and positive changes occurring in their respective field.

Neptune-Uranus ninefold sextile (Apr 20 – May 11)

Uranus-Neptune ninefold sextile is going to be very favorable for those who have these planets favorably placed in their natal charts.  Expect some sort of spiritual awakening, monetary gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.  The idea that you always wanted to pursue a non-material goal but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period.  It’s time to jump in and enjoy this spiritual period.

On a collective level, this is an extraordinary time for collective spiritual growth, technological discoveries and inventions.  Expect some new important technological breakthroughs during this month. For the United States, in general, it’s going to be a remarkable and very successful period

Saturn-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold square(s) (Apr 26 – May 4)

Saturn-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold squares are going to be devastating for those who have such squares in their natal charts.  Anything that you attempt will be failed or will result in agonizing and frustrating experience. This is not the time to take any risk.  If you have such squares in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the Gochar (transit) chart, then you need be extra careful. The best thing to do is not make any new commitment, and totally avoid taking any business or monetary risk.   

On a collective level, barbaric activities all around the world are likely to increase. Terrorists are likely to be successful in creating confusion and chaos. Social turmoil in Europe and Russia is likely. Religious activities could get stalled for no apparent reason.

Neptune-Rahu ninefold opposition and Neptune-Ketu ninefold conjunction (May 18-26)

For those, who have poor placing of Neptune-Rahu (or Neptune Ketu) by being especially in the sixth, eighth, and the twelfth house of their birth chart and current operating cycles are influenced by at least one of these planets, are likely to experience instability in their daily routine caused due to sudden change in their activities and surroundings.  Such experiences might turn out to be very unfortunate and frustrating.  It would certainly be wise not to commit to anything new during this one week period and stay low key.

On the collective level, social as well as economic turmoil in Russia and China can not be ruled out.  Covert activities around the world may find a new momentum (but because of Neptune’s secretive character we may never know) with regard to terrorism and other international conflicts.

Pluto-Uranus ninefold quincunx (May 19-28)

If in your birth chart Pluto makes a quincunx with Uranus, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are very likely to be affected by this quincunx.  Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a sudden and a totally new and a very unpleasant experience in that particular field. Be ready to face this unwanted experience. Stay alert and try not to start a new venture that requires taking a risk. It’s like you are on a business trip or company assignment and you are immediately called off or caught in a situation that you find very difficult if not impossible to get out. 

At a collective level, the Pluto-Uranus ninefold quincunx could bring a unique change in the way the current US administration deals with other nations with respect to its international agenda, and also with its domestic matters. There will be a transformation of a political strategy that might become responsible of a change in the current political agenda, and foreign policy matters of the Trump administration as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of politics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms. Expect some serious issues that the Trump administration could get tangled with.

Rahu-Jupiter ninefold sextile (Ketu-Jupiter ninefold trine) (May 19 – June 13)

Jupiter-Rahu ninefold trine is favorable for those who have such trine in their natal charts.  A proper balance between the optimism and conservatism will protect you from becoming over optimistic (or aggressive) as well as over protective.  If you have such trine in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you are likely to enjoy this period with full vigor and success as it would seem to come to you naturally. So enjoy!

Uranus-Saturn ninefold quincunx (May 24 – June 1)
