Wishing you a Happy, Prosperous and Covid-19 free 2021
While (as predicted) the year 2020 went on the record to be the most eventful and memorial year for the first two decades of the 21st century as three spiritual planets (Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter) converged in sidereal Capricorn during that year, the year 2021 is likely to follow up with (not with the same intensity though) the year 2020 with similar experiences since Pluto returns to the sidereal Capricorn and joins Saturn, and they both will stay in the earth sign Capricorn during 2021. Jupiter resides in Capricorn till April 5, in Aquarius during April 5-Sept 15, and then back in Capricorn till November 20.
Pluto back in sidereal Capricorn
One of the important planetary events of 2021 continues to be the transit of the modern planet Pluto from the sidereal zodiac sign Sagittarius to Capricorn. It first occurred on about February 22, 2020. Pluto stayed in Capricorn till July 3, 2020, and then with its retrograde motion returned to Sagittarius and stayed in Sagittarius till December 28. After December 28, 2020 it entered Capricorn.
Capricorn being the earth sign (material world) ruled by Saturn (spiritual planet) and being the cardinal sign (leader of the earth signs) and Pluto being the planet of transformation (irreversible change), the drastic changes in our collective perceptions of our material world have been manifested in the way we never experienced before by Pluto’s transit in Capricorn.
This era (the next 19 to 20 years) will be remembered as the period of material world transformation (modifying the existing world by totally annihilating present way of living) to a new and very different way of living that would align with our human evolution. The year 2020 has already proved that the way we had been used to deal with material world is no longer be our norms. We now are more isolated and far from being social the way we used to be. Most of us work from home and we use on line tools to deal with our daily chores. In next couple of years or so we certainly will return to our normal social life, but with very different perspective about life as we would become conscious about our earth, climate and not just the material waste but also about how we prioritize our (quality of) life and spend time accordingly.
Since the beginning of Pluto’s entry in sidereal Capricorn last February (and thus the pandemic), some of the world business leaders or companies have become obsolete or transformed into other forms reflecting the material way of living has been greatly influenced by our collective spiritual experiences and subsequent understanding of the world due to Pluto’s transformational transit.
However, this wonderful process of spiritual transformational growth is likely to be accompanied by very painful, chaotic and frustrating human experiences (wars, violence, terrorism, social and political conflicts, natural and man-made calamities are some of the few examples) required to completely annihilate our present social norms and our prejudice based conditioning, resulting in drastic changes in our collective moral and spiritual perceptions (consciousness). The Covid-19 pandemic may continue on and off throughout the year but likely to be subsiding as the year progresses. However, a possibility of an emergence of a similar crisis certainly exists as a part of Capricorn Pluto’s continuous process of material transformation.
The world financial markets will likely to be very volatile throughout this year.
In scientific and technological areas, a lot of drastic changes and emerging of new ideas will find their ways into innovations and discoveries that are aligned with our collective spiritual progress, as those (new ideas) will be more focused in areas that will bridge the gap between the science and morality. The likely areas of research will be in biotechnology, medicine, spiritual healing, and life-force related activities. A new wave of philosophers with their new perspectives on living, in general, will certainly transform our world to a new level of understanding.
Saturn in sidereal Capricorn
Capricorn being the earth and cardinal sign, for about the next 18 months, Saturn will strongly influence the world financial markets and economy and material expansion/contraction. Entrepreneurs, business leaders, politicians, philanthropists, philosophers, scientists, reformers and to some extent monks will shape the future of the world. Those who have Saturn in Capricorn (Saturn return) in their natal charts have already been experiencing as their lives transformed to a new settings due to a drastic change (mostly) at material and psychological levels. In my opinion, despite a painful period of frustration due to unexpected drastic changes in life, it’s going to be an exciting next 18 months or so for those who have dominant Saturn in their birth chart and have Pisces, Aries, Leo and Scorpio as their natal ninefold (Navamansha) ascendant.
In the next eighteen months, on a world political scene, countries like United states, Russia, Eastern European countries, Middle East, India and Pakistan will make news headlines. The financial markets are likely to exhibit high volatility, especially up and down spikes in oil markets. Entrepreneurs, business leaders, politicians, philanthropists, philosophers, scientists, reformers will likely to further transform the world with their successful creative and productive activities. Both Saturn and Neptune being in signs ruled by Saturn and in addition, the presence of Pluto in Capricorn means the scandals that have been hidden behind the scenes are very likely to come to the surface or be revealed, especially in Russia, China and in particularly the president Donald Trump’s relationship with Putin and their secret activities during 2016-2020.
Jupiter’s entry in sidereal Aquarius on April 5, 2021 (Apr 5 – Sept 15) and then its brief return back in Capricorn during Sept 15 – Nov 20, 2021
While in Capricorn (Jan 1 thru April 5 and then Sept 15 thru Nov 20), a cardinal and earth sign ruled by Saturn, Jupiter in Capricorn has a tendency to enhance material prosperity of those who have well placed and well connected Saturn and Jupiter in their birth charts while others likely to experience their prosperity diminish.
In general, transit of Jupiter in Capricorn is positive. For one thing, material prosperity around the world is likely to expand. (It must be noted that despite Jupiter’s positive influence on world material prosperity, influence of other planets should be taken into consideration to assess the net effect for an individual natal chart). In addition, during this period the influence of contemporary philosophers on society will shape the future direction of our social evolution through the philosophical and metaphysical debates. In general, the Capricorn Jupiter is known to be responsible for world economic expansion.
The transit of Jupiter in Aquarius is very important and positive for spiritual expansion. The emergence new philosophy will shed the light on new wave of livings and understanding of the world. Because Aquarius being the sign of universal love and collective progress, progressive ideas will likely to dominate the world, especially after November 2021 and during 2022.
Since Jupiter will be in Capricorn along with Saturn and Pluto, the possibilities of a severe religious or morality crisis as well as judiciary and financial crisis are very likely. Certainly, the way we have the religious and morality based norms today will be challenged by the new forces of human evolution. The world financial markets will exhibit unprecedented volatility. And the judiciary systems all around the world are likely to be challenged. The contemporary philosophers, reformers, industrialists, scientists, and all those who have power to influence world with their unique intelligence based talents will enjoy this period to its fullest.
Mars in Aries with Uranus
The recent Mar’s ingress in Aries occurred on December 23. It will stay in Aries till February 21. The transit of Mars in the sidereal Aries is likely to dominate the headlines for January and February, especially for January when it closely conjuncts (within 3 degrees) the most powerful fiery planet, Uranus during January 14-26.
Mars is the planet of action, energy and strength, and the fire sign Aries is ruled by Mars. Aries is also the cardinal sign that loves to rule, lead and dominate the surroundings. Thus, for fiery and action oriented dominating planet like Mars, it’s the perfect setting for Mars to explode (cardinal being the lead sign) with tremendous strength. And the manifestation of that energy will be reflected in both the material (Mars being the material planet) and spiritual (Aries being the fire sign) with tremendous ups and downs that will be intensely felt by the entire world, especially by the military personnel (Mars being the fire sign with tremendous energy and strength), sportsmen, warriors, fighters, commanders, leaders and people in power in almost every field (especially in politics and business). Also, Aries being the fire sign, the sign of domination, aggression, power, the transit of Mars means volatility in international as well as in national politics and in the financial markets.
In addition, and probably one of the most important planetary combinations, is the conjunction of Mars with Uranus. Although the close conjunction (with in three degrees) occurs during January 14-26, both being in Aries (Fire and cardinal sign) it’s a very powerful conjunction in Aries that will last through February 21.
As mentioned above, Aries being a fire and cardinal sign, is very suitable for independent, ambitious, energetic, impulsive and crazy Uranus. The changes in world political landscape have been tremendously influenced by Uranus’s transit in Aries (Brexit’s revival, Briton intensely suffering from Covid-19 crisis, inauguration of president-elect Joe Biden as the next President of the United States of America, etc.,) . Now combine the Uranus’s energy with that of explosive and impulsive Mars, it’s a perfect recipe for disaster if these energies are not properly aligned. The rising Covid-19 saga in Briton and the political divide in the United States will certainly make big headlines during January, especially during Jan 14-26 period.
The people who are most affected by this conjunction are military personnel, people in power such as business leaders and political leaders. In scientific and technological areas expect drastic changes; and emerging new ideas will find their ways into innovations and discoveries. Since the characteristics of Uranus are closely tied with that of the United States as a country, and especially with the state of California and other west coast states (Oregon and Washington), with Uranus-Mars conjunction, expect extraordinary natural and man-made calamities, and political and financial events till February 21.
Furthermore, deadly and chaotic Uranus-Saturn square (with in three degrees) during Jan 18 – July 19 and then during the entire month of December 2021 will certainly be another unprecedented major planetary combination of 2021. The manifestation of this undesirable planetary square is likely to be reflected in both the natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during this period (return of Covid-19 pandemic or other new virus related crisis, war, climate crisis, uprising in Middle-East, Russia and even in the United States are certainly some of the possibilities).
Crowding of planets in sidereal Capricorn (January 28 thru March 10)
During Jan 28 thru Mar 10, in addition to Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter (as described above), the slow moving planets Sun, Venus and Mercury will join them in sidereal Capricorn. Since Capricorn is a friendly sign for Saturn, Mercury and Venus, the resulting activation of positive energy will certainly be reflected in events and activities all around the world including political alliances, scientific breakthroughs, Covid-19 under control with unprecedented vaccination success, and hope and optimism about better future. However, the challenges posed by Saturn-Sun conjunction and their (Sun and Saturn) presence in Capricorn would also be simultaneously played out in the form of instability in global political world, perhaps due to increased friction between powerful countries (USA, Russia and China, and also countries in the Middle-East, particularly between Iran and Saudi Arabia and Iran and Israel).
Summary
The year 2021 will continue to be significantly affected by the subtle but very powerful energy of Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter conjunctions in Capricorn and the powerful and ruthless Uranus-Saturn square. However, the silver lining is: these painful events are very likely to become responsible for spiritually transforming our world to a new level, a necessary step as a part of our collective spiritual growth.
