While (as predicted) the last couple of years went on the record to be one of the most eventful and memorial years for the first few decades of the 21st century, the year 2022 is likely to follow up with (not with the same intensity though) the years 2020 and 2021 with similar experiences since Pluto is now well anchored in sidereal Capricorn and Saturn will still be lingering around in Capricorn through 2022 despite a brief entry in Aquarius during April 28 – July 14, 2022. As a result, while slowly diminishing and almost gone during April 29 – July 14, Covid-19 is likely to return and stay with us till the end of the year.
However, the biggest story of 2022 is likely to be the simultaneous ingress of the two most benefic planets, Jupiter and Neptune in sidereal Pisces as they conjunct within a degree during April 13-22. In addition, around April 14 the north lunar node Rahu will enter sidereal Aries. And therefore, April is likely to prove to be a most eventful and spiritually profound month, and it will be remembered for a long time to come.
Another big story of 2022 is the Uranus-Rahu-Mars conjunction in the fire sign Aries. This conjunction occurs within a degree during July 25 – Aug 5. This is one of the deadliest combinations of three malefics in the fire sign Aries, and Rahu’s karmic energy will certainly be on display during this conjunction period. It will certainly affect the political climate (Mars) of the United States (Uranus) in a big way as this period directly confronts with the country’s Karma (Rahu).
Furthermore, while Venus continues to stay retrograde till the end of January and returns to sidereal Capricorn on February 27, Mars becomes retrograde on October 31 in sidereal Gemini, returns to Taurus on November 14, then becomes direct on January 13, 2023 and finally returns to Capricorn on March 13, 2023. Energies of these retrograde planets, especially that from Mars is likely to significantly impact the political and financial world.
Neptune’s Entry in Sidereal Pisces
One of the extraordinary planetary events of 2022 is the transit of the modern planet Neptune from the sidereal zodiac sign Aquarius to the next zodiac sign Pisces. It first occurs on April 15, 2022, and Neptune stays in Pisces till September 15, 2022. And then with its retrograde motion Neptune returns to Aquarius and stays in Aquarius till February 16, 2023. After February 16, 2023 it will continue to transit through Pisces for the following 14 years (till mid 2036). Although it is going to be in Pisces for only about 5 months in 2022, Neptune being the spiritual planets of our solar system that deal more with heart than mind, it will certainly affect the matters related to Pisces in a significant way.

In scientific and technological areas, a lot of drastic changes and emerging new ideas coupled with mystical experiences will find their way into innovations and discoveries. However, it will be the first time the scientific and technological research will be more focused in areas that will bridge the gap between the science and morality. The likely areas of research will be in spiritual healing, and life-force related activities. The return to the holistic and Ayurvedic practices and alternate medicines are very likely. A new wave of philosophers and philanthropist with their new perspectives on living, in general, will certainly transform our world in next 14 years with a new level of understanding of life.
On the downside, the religious leaders and social reformers may tend to form cults and spread cult like activities, rise in organized religion scandals, deceptive activities under the disguise of promise of spiritual experiences are likely to be on rise in certain part of the world. The scandals of the secretive collaboration between the medical doctors and pharmaceutical industries will be exposed. The increase usage of mind altering drugs, disregard for social and to some extent moral responsibility, rise in mental disorders, and losing the touch with reality are some of the likely symptoms of the negative side of Neptune.
On individual level for those who have water sign (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces) as their ascendant in their natal ninefold (Navamansh) chart should get ready for a brand new and long lasting (14 years) cycle of change, especially a very pronounced cycle if Neptune is a dominant planet in your birth charts. Since the year 2020 it has already proved that the way we had been used to deal with material world is no longer be our norms. We now are more isolated and far from being social the way we used to be. Most of us work from home and we use on line tools to deal with our daily chores. In next few years or so we certainly will return to our normal social life, but with very different perspective about life as we would become conscious about our earth, climate and not just the material waste but also about how we prioritize our (quality of) life and spend time accordingly.

However, this wonderful process of spiritual transformational growth has been and will likely to be accompanied by very painful, chaotic and frustrating human experiences (wars, violence, terrorism, social and political conflicts, natural and man-made calamities are some of the few examples) required to completely annihilate our present social norms and our prejudice based conditioning, resulting in profound changes in our collective moral and spiritual perceptions (consciousness). The Covid-19 pandemic may continue on and off throughout the year but likely to be subsiding as the year progresses. However, a possibility of an emergence of a similar crisis certainly exists as a part of Capricorn Pluto’s continuous process of material transformation.
The world financial markets will likely to be very volatile throughout this year.
Saturn in sidereal Capricorn/Aquarius/Capricorn
Saturn will be in sidereal Capricorn till April 28, then briefly enters Aquarius and stays in Aquarius till July 14, and then returns to Capricorn for the rest of the year.
Capricorn being the earth and cardinal sign, Saturn’s energy has strongly been reflected in the volatility and changes in the world financial markets, economy and material expansion/contraction. Currently Jupiter is in sidereal Aquarius. As an air sign, the sign of intelligent and open mind, the transit of Jupiter in Aquarius has been very important and positive for spiritual expansion. The emergence of new philosophies will shed the light on new wave of livings and understanding of the world. The north lunar node, Rahu will conjunct Uranus in sidereal Aries with in three degrees during June 21 – Sept 20, and within one degree during July 13 – Aug 9. In addition, during the same time, Mars conjuncts both of them within a degree. This is one of the deadliest combinations of three malefics coming together in the fire sign Aries, and Rahu’s karmic energy will certainly be on display during this conjunction period. It will certainly affect the political climate (Mars) of the United States (Uranus) in a big way as this period directly confronts with the country’s Karma (Rahu).
The political turmoil, social unrest, natural and man-made calamities that include west coast wild fires, senseless killings and racial violence, etc., are very likely to be materialized during this period. For democrats and the democrat party this period may prove to be a very challenging one.
Retrograde Mars in sidereal Gemini
Mars becomes retrograde on October 31, 2022 in sidereal Gemini. It returns to Taurus on November 14, 2022 due to its retrograde motion. It becomes direct on January 13 in Taurus and returns to Gemini on March 13, 2023. The transit of retrograde Mars in the sidereal Gemini and Taurus is likely to dominate the news headlines November 2022 through March 2023.
Gemini being the air sign and ruled by Mercury, Gemini Mars energy represents more directly related to brain power than physical power. Therefore, the manifestation of this energy will be reflected in both the material (Mars being the material planet) and knowledge (as Gemini is ruled by Mercury) with tremendous ups and downs that will be intensely felt by the entire world, especially by people in power at research and academic institutes, diplomats, space technology, products related to communications such as cell phones, internets, social media and information technology.
