What do the former presidents of the United Sates: Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama and Donald Trump have all in common in their birth charts?   The answer is: it’s the close conjunction of the planet Uranus with the lunar node Rahu approximately within three degrees.

When it comes to US presidential elections, I always find the conjunction of Uranus with the north lunar node Rahu in natal chart fascinating.

Time and again I have observed that the characteristics of the planet Uranus are very closely tied with the United States as country. The political, financial, social and life changing events, and also, remarkable progress in technology making US the leader of the world in last hundred years or so are so accurately tied with transit of Uranus in astrological zodiac signs.  Interestingly, it’s not surprising that the very discovery of the planet Uranus in 1781 happened just few years after United States was born as an independent country by becoming free from the British rule.

In astrology, especially in Vedic astrology, the transit of north lunar node Rahu (in Vedic astrology the lunar node is referred as Rahu) is considered karmic.  In other words, most of the significant events, some of which that not be explained with logic, that happen for an individual in his or her life or collectively for a country can be explained with transit of Rahu in sidereal zodiac signs.

Therefore, when Rahu’s comes in a close vicinity of Uranus forming a conjunction, it is considered to be related to the karmic event(s) happening in the United States. It happens approximately about every 15 years. Individuals born around that time may have their destinies tied with the United States. 

The former president, Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama and Donald Trump, they all happen to have Uranus-Rahu conjunction in their natal charts. Thus, Rahu-Uranus conjunction may be used as one of the litmus-tests to confirm an individual having a potential of becoming the president of the USA. Of course, one needs to look at all configurations of other planets in natal chart to do a thorough analysis before forecasting.

Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama served as two term presidents.  But Donald Trump was only for one term president and lost the election for becoming the second term president.  Why? And why instead Joe Biden became the president? In addition to the above mentioned litmus test, it also, requires a thorough analysis of natal charts as well as transit charts for the election day of both candidates. And I provided my interpretation in 2020 US presidential election prediction.

However, when vice presidents George H Bush, Al Gore and Joe Biden ran for presidential election the first time (after President Reagan finished his two terms) only Al Gore didn’t win (He almost won after the Supreme ruled in favor of George W. Bush  the disputed Florida ballot counting). 

It’s interesting to note that none of these vice presidents have (or had) Uranus-Rahu conjunction within three degrees. While both George H Bush and Governor Dukakis didn’t have Uranus-Rahu conjunction in their natal charts, George Bush’s natal chart was simply much better than Dukakis’s natal chart for political success standpoint. But later on for the second run President George H Bush lost to then Governor Bill Clinton who had a close Uranus-Rahu conjunction in his natal chart.  For the second term president Clinton ran against Senator Bob Dole (who also born when Uranus-Rahu conjunction was not within three degrees) and won. 

Similarly, vice president Al Gore lost to then Governor George W. Bush in 2000 because George W Bush had Uranus-Rahu conjunction in his natal chart within less than a degree. Again in 2004 president Bush won against Senator John Kerry because senator doesn’t have the Uranus-Rahu close conjunction in his natal chart.

Barack Obama who had Uranus-Rahu conjunction within three degrees won both times: first against John McCain in 2008 and then in 2012 against Governor Mitt Romney. In their natal charts both McCain and Romney do not have the Uranus-Rahu close conjunction.

In 2016, Secretary Hillary Clinton ran against then Mr. Donald Trump and lost because Trump has the magic planetary configuration of Uranus-Rahu conjunction. Then why did he (President Trump) lose in 2020 against vice President Joe Biden who doesn’t the same magic configuration in his natal chart? If Biden weren’t vice president the story would have been different. 

The answer to this question can be explained by further analyzing former President Donald Trump’s natal chart.  While the Uranus-Rahu conjunction exists within three degrees in his natal chart in the tenth house, Rahu also very closely conjuncts Sun within two degrees. Also, because he was born just before the total lunar eclipse, his natal sidereal Scorpio Moon directly opposes natal Rahu. The luminaries Sun and Moon in Vedic astrology are considered the strong adversaries of lunar nodes. Under that condition characteristic of the person indicates inflated ego, self-destructive nature and know it all attitude. If Sun weren’t in close conjunction with Rahu the second term outcome would certainly be in favor for 2020 election.
