Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline. For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.
Jupiter’s transit in the sidereal zodiac sign Sagittarius (November 21)
On November 21, Jupiter left (sidereal) Scorpio and entered the next zodiac sign, Sagittarius. Jupiter’s transit from one zodiac sign to the next occurs, on average, once a year. Being its own zodiac sign Jupiter will be residing in its own home for a year. Therefore, for the entire world, in general, it’s going to be an auspicious year. Sagittarius is a mutable and fire sign, and it deals with philosophy, morality and religion. Since Jupiter will be in conjunction with Pluto (early December), the possibility of a severe religious or morality crisis is very likely. Certainly the way we have the religious and morality based norms today will be challenged by the new forces of human evolution. The contemporary philosophers, reformers, scientists, writers, poets, and all those who have power to influence people with their unique intelligence based talents will enjoy this period to its fullest. In addition, the influence of contemporary spiritual leaders on society will shape the future direction of our social evolution through the theosophical and metaphysical debates
In general, Sagittarius Jupiter is known to be responsible for leading the world towards more spiritual direction through subtle action. So from that perspective, expect some positive morality related changes during this period and welcome the Jupiter’s entry in Sagittarius.
On individual levels, for those who have dominant Jupiter in the birth charts and have Libra, Capricorn, Aries, Gemini, or Leo as their natal ninefold ascendant, are likely to experience a very positive twelve months period beginning November 21.
Retrograde Mars (Nov 15 – Jan 30)
From the planetary influence standpoint, one of the major events of November through January is the retrograde Mars which, on average, occurs once every two years. On November 15, Mars became retrograde in the sidereal zodiac sign Gemini, and it will stay retrograde till January 30 of the next year. Astrologically speaking, what does the retrograde Mars mean? And what can we expect from the retrograde Mars?
In general, when a planet turns retrograde, the positive energy offered by that planet is expected to slowly diminish. In case of Mars, being a planet of total independence, high ego, and less maturity usually make things worse with incredible speed.
For those of you who have predominant Mars in the birth chart and if it’s influencing you through the current progressive chart, then you are very likely to experience a sudden setback in your professional as well as in other activities. You may have to repeat things over many times to get it right, or you may have to deal with unfortunate and totally unexpected circumstances. You may end up in having a very frustrating experience. In particular, businessmen, people in communication business and academics are likely to be more affected than others.
At a collective level, expect a political tension building among developed nations. Destruction of wealth due to natural calamities or man made accidents are also very likely. Other possibilities include a blackout in major cities, espionage in communication area, uncovering of political covert activities and failures of diplomatic efforts between nations.
Pluto-Saturn ninefold square (Nov 6 – Dec 24)
If in your birth chart Pluto makes a square with Saturn, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you want to consider taking extra precaution in dealing with money matters, people at work, especially with your adversaries. In general, this is the time to stay low key and not be aggressive. Be cautious and alert as much as possible. Do not trust anybody during this period.
On a collective level, Russia is likely to face with some serious challenges and perhaps sudden changes. To some extent China is also going to have a similar experience.
Uranus-Saturn ninefold trine (Nov 20 – January 1, 2008)
Uranus-Saturn ninefold trine is going to be favorable for those who have these planets favorably placed in their natal charts. Expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields. The ideas that you always wanted to pursue but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. However don’t neglect your family during this busy time. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period. It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.
On a collective level, religious activities all around the world are likely to expand with new vigor and energy, conservatives will find ways to compromise with liberals on sticky issues. Democrats and Republicans will agree on more matters than the ones they disagree. This is a good time to get those lingering bills passed in U.S. Congress and Senates. China and Russia are likely to experience some mild setbacks in their foreign policies, especially the one that deals with the United States.
Pluto-Rahu ninefold quincunx (Dec 4 – 11)
Unless these planets are favorably placed in your birth chart, such quincunx between Pluto and lunar nodes (Rahu or Ketu), in general, means drastic unwanted changes (transformations) pertaining to aspects of your life described by the houses they belong to. Usually such transformations are very painful if lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), and/or Pluto is affecting your life via your current progressive chart. In my opinion, best way to deal with this situation is to (which is not easy to do) accept it (the inevitable change), and move on with your life. There’s no point in brooding over it and not letting your past go.
On a collective level, an eruption of new waves of violence in the Palestine-Israel, Iraq and Pakistan regions are likely. And perhaps, towards the end of this period due to Pluto’s transformation process, the resulting changes are likely to become irreversible. In addition, world religions in general, and religious leaders in particular, may experience themselves having to go through crisis that demand changes. In other words, the orthodox religious leaders may come under social and moral pressures to change the way they handle their responsibilities.
Saturn-Rahu trine (Saturn-Ketu sextile) (Dec 2 – 9)
Saturn-Rahu trine is usually favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Saturn. If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields. The ideas that you always wanted to pursue your desired goals but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period. It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.
Uranus-Rahu ninefold trine (Uranus-Ketu ninefold sextile) (Dec 4 – 13)
Uranus-Rahu trine is going to be very favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Uranus. If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect sudden monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields. The ideas that you always wanted to pursue but somehow could never get started….it can happen now at an incredible speed. It’s time to take risk and enjoy this period.
Pluto-Jupiter Conjunction (December 7 – 16)
This is a very important planetary event for people who deal with philosophy, religion, religious and academic institutes. Because this conjunction occurs in sidereal Sagittarius, it will become responsible for a unique transformation in the field of religion as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of religion and academics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms.
In your birth chart if Jupiter and Pluto are either in conjunction or opposition, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you are perhaps standing on the thresh-hold of a new era that’s about to begin in your life. Depending on the houses these planets occupy in your birth chart, you are going to have a totally new and a very different experience in that particular field. Be ready to accept this new settings with new challenges as well as the rewards that come with them.
On a collective level, religious and academic (philosophy and social sciences) and to some extent social fields are very likely to see changes coming in their respective fields. Initial reaction to the change might appear to be a bit confusing and perhaps chaotic, but the majority of us are going to embrace this new wave of change and are very likely to enjoy it.
