Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Retrograde Mercury (December 3-23) 

On December 3, the planet Mercury becomes retrograde in sidereal Sagittarius. It will stay retrograde in Sagittarius December 10, then with its retrograde motion will enter into Scorpio. Typically retrograde Mercury means anxieties, communication breakdowns, unexpected delays, frustrations, missing deadlines, unforeseen obstacles and disappointment in daily chores. Retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius means more frustrating periods for leaders in general, and particularly for those who are religious leaders, explorers, philosophers, and researchers. And that in Scorpio means more trying period for military personnel, politicians, athletes, terrorists, and people involved in secrecy and covert operations. This is the time not to start a new project or venture, but rather reflect on what’s been done so far.  Also, this is the best time to cleanup that closet and do other chores that you have been postponing due to lack of time.

In addition, if you have dominating Mercury in your birth chart and if Mercury is currently your operating planet, then you are more likely to experience the pronounced effects of retrograde Mercury during this period with respect to matters signified by the house it’s currently transiting through in your progressive chart.

Uranus-Rahu ninefold sextile (Uranus-Ketu ninefold trine)  (Nov 26 – Dec 16)

Uranus-Rahu ninefold sextile is going to be very favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Uranus.  If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields.  The ideas that you always wanted to pursue but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. You will distinctly notice and feel the positive energy flowing through you during this period.  It’s time to jump in and enjoy this period.

Neptune-Jupiter trine (Nov 27 – Dec 6)

This auspicious trine is good for all world religions as well as for people who are engaged in activities that help us expand morally, socially as well as materially.  

For those who have well placed Jupiter and Neptune in their birth chart (conjunction, trine, sextile, opposition) are likely to have a very positive experience during this period.  People involved in the religious activities are likely experience a sudden boost in their daily activities, and religious authorities are going to be well recognized by societies.

On a collective level, religious, academic, and social fields are very likely to enjoy the new and positive changes occurring in their respective field.

Pluto-Rahu quincunx (Nov 27 – Dec 20)

Unless these planets are favorably placed in your birth chart, such quincunx between Pluto and any one of the lunar nodes, in general, means drastic unwanted changes (transformations) pertaining to aspects of your life described by the houses they belong to. Usually such transformations are very painful if lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), and/or Pluto is affecting your life via your current progressive chart.  In my opinion, best way to deal with this situation is to (which is not easy to do) accept the inevitable change, and move on with your life. There’s no point in brooding over it, and not letting your past go.

On a collective level, an eruption of new waves of violence in the Palestine-Israel, Syria and  Afghanistan-Pakistan regions are likely. And perhaps, towards the end of this period due to Pluto’s transformation process, the resulting changes are likely to become irreversible. In addition, world religions in general, and religious leaders in particular, may experience themselves having to go through crisis that demand changes. In other words, the orthodox religious leaders may come under social and moral pressures to change the way they handle their responsibilities. 

Pluto-Saturn ninefold opposition (Nov 28 – Dec 4)

For those who have a conjunction, square, or opposition of Pluto and Saturn in their birth charts, and for those whose current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets are likely to experience a setback or turmoil in their lives.  Such opposition can become a very strong force to destroy the current setting of your lifestyle and transform it to a totally new setting which may or may not be desirable depending on the strength and positive influence of these planets in the natal chart. In any event it’s going to be an irreversible situation.

Saturn-Jupiter ninefold sextile (Nov 28 – Dec 4)

Jupiter-Saturn ninefold sextile is favorable for those who have such sextile in their natal charts.  A proper balance between the optimism and conservatism will protect you from becoming over optimistic (or aggressive) as well as over protective.  If you have such sextile in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you are likely to enjoy this period with full vigor and success as it would seem to come to you naturally. So enjoy!

Watch-out for these few days of this month for sudden and undesirable happenings in your life if you have such opposition or square in your birth chart.  It could be a sudden loss of money, unfortunate accident, or a bad news. Only thing I suppose you could do is be prepared and avoid taking in new risk during this period.

On a collective level, natural and man-made calamities are likely, especially in the United States of America.

Neptune-Jupiter ninefold conjunction (Dec 1-4)

Both Jupiter and Neptune are considered as auspicious planets. While Jupiter deals with outward and material things Neptune’s influence on us is very abstract and subtle. For those who have such conjunction in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle are certainly going to experience a transformation (irreversible change) of their beliefs and moral values that they have been attached to. It’s time for marching ahead with a quantum step in the process of self discovery (or evolution). Embrace this period with total openness and vulnerability. There will be a transformation of a political strategy that might become responsible of a change in the current political agenda, and foreign policy matters of the Trump administration as the planet Pluto with its tremendous energy has a power of irreversibly transforming the field of politics to a new level or setting with a new set of norms. Expect some serious issues that the Trump administration could get tangled with.
