Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline. For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.
Retrograde Saturn (November 22 – April 6, 2006)
Saturn has been retrograde since November 22 and is going to stay retrograde till April 6, 2006. For those who have a well placed Saturn in their birth charts and if Saturn’s period is currently in operation, then they are likely to experience slower progress. Best way to deal with retrograde Saturn is to put more energy in to whatever you do to work towards your goal.
On the world scene, generally, the projects that deal with expansion are likely to either stay on hold or experience sluggish progress. In religious world, things are likely to move at frustratingly slow rate. In the political arena what may seem like progress will turn out to be a disaster.
Saturn-Rahu trine (Saturn-Ketu sextile) (Nov 5 – April 14, 2006)
Saturn-Rahu trine is usually favorable for those who have lunar nodes favorably placed in their natal charts with respect to Saturn. If such placing is connected to the first house, second house, ninth house, tenth house, or eleventh house then expect monetary as well as power gains, promotions and improved prestige in professional and social fields. The ideas that you always wanted to pursue your desired goals but somehow could never get started….now is the time to follow that dream. Mars-Pluto Quincunx (Feb 7 – 12)
This six-day period is likely to be very frustrating for those who have Mars-Pluto opposition, quincunx, square, or conjunction in their natal charts. Typically this quincunx is very unfavorable from the point of view that one might face situations that are beyond his/her control. Unexpected problems are likely to occur with astonishing speed and without any notice. If you have such quincunx, opposition or conjunction in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you need to be on guard. Stay very low key, do not make any new commitment, and avoid taking any sort of risk. Also, experiences like a sudden incident of fire, or an accident involving explosive material are very possible.
On the world scene, sudden outbreak of an undesirable happening, possibilities of both natural and man-made calamities are likely. The countries that are most likely to be affected during this period will be: the United States of America, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine and Israel.
Neptune-Jupiter square (Jan 16 – Mar 27)
Both Jupiter and Neptune are considered as auspicious planets. While Jupiter deals with outward and material things Neptune’s influence on us is very abstract and subtle. For those who have such square in their birth charts, and if they have any one of these planets influencing them through the current progressive cycle are certainly going to experience a period of test and confusion with regards to their beliefs and moral values that they have been attached to. It’s time to reflect! It’s time to stay course with regards to moral values. Your surroundings and apparent nature of people surrounding you is likely to be deceptive but just hang in there for a while.
On the world scene, world religions are likely to be challenged with earthshaking ideas that they must attend to. New controversial issues will take the central stage in the religious world. Religious leaders will be challenged as they are going to be put on the test . Those who are willing to be open minded and ready to listen and act on new and fresh ideas without losing morality, are the ones that going to be responsible to guide people. Others are likely to fade away with time.
Pluto-Saturn ninefold opposition (Feb 13 – 19)
For those who have a conjunction, square, or opposition of Pluto and Saturn in their birth charts, and for those whose current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets are likely to experience a setback or turmoil in their lives. Such opposition can become a very strong force to destroy the current setting of your lifestyle and transform it to a totally new setting which may or may not be desirable depending on the strength and positive influence of these planets in the natal chart. In any event it’s going to be an irreversible situation.
On the collective level, expect the outbreak of violence and terrorist activities, natural as well as man-made calamities, and to some extent, war-like climate in some parts of the world. Tension between Israelis and Palestinians is likely to escalate again at a new level. Eastern European countries, Russia, and China may experience political or social turmoil.
Pluto-Rahu ninefold opposition (and Ketu-Pluto ninefold conjunction) (Feb 15 – 23)
Unless these planets are favorably placed in your birth chart, such opposition or squares between Pluto and lunar nodes, in general, means drastic changes (transformations) pertaining to aspects of your life described by the houses they belong to. Usually such transformations are accompanied with severe pains if lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), and/or Pluto is affecting your life via your current progressive chart. In my opinion, best way to deal with this situation is to (which is not easy to do) accept it (the inevitable change), and move on with your life. There’s no point in brooding over it, and not letting your past go. Just believe that on long term basis, such changes are good for you.
On a collective level, an eruption of new waves of violence in the Palestine-Israel and Kashmir regions are likely. And perhaps, towards the end of this period (due to Pluto’s transformation process) the resulting changes are likely to become irreversible. In addition, world religions in general, and religious leaders in particular, may experience themselves having to go through crisis that demand changes. In other words, the orthodox religious leaders may come under social and moral pressures to change the way they handle their responsibilities.
Neptune-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold square(s) (Jan 31 – Feb 7)
Neptune-Rahu (and Ketu) ninefold squares are going to be very unfavorable for those who have such squares in their natal charts. Expect sudden loss of money, power, demotions at work place and/or tarnished reputation in professional and social fields. If you have such squares in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you need be extra careful. The best thing to do is not make any new commitment, and totally avoid taking any business or monetary risk. Remember you never suspected a closed friend, and you suddenly find out that he or she secretly doing things behind your back to hurt you….well something similar is likely to happen….be careful!
On a collective level, secret activities all around the world are likely to accelerate including political covert activities. Social confusion and chaos in countries like Russia and China is a good possibility.
