Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Retrograde Jupiter (January 8 – May 10) 

Jupiter, which became retrograde on January 8, will stay retrograde until May 10, 2016 in the sidereal zodiac Leo.  For those who have a well placed Jupiter in their birth charts and if Jupiter’s period is currently in operation, such people are likely to feel the deceleration in their progress.  Remember it’s only temporary!  Need to put more energy in to whatever you do to achieve what you need to achieve.

On the world scene, particularly in business world, “confusion” will dominate and things are likely to move at much slower rate.  The world economy may experience a slower growth.

Saturn-Rahu ninefold conjunction (Saturn-Ketu opposition) (Jan 28 – Feb 1)

When Saturn-Rahu ninefold conjunction occurs, it’s not favorable period for those who have such conjunction or squares in their birth charts. In addition, if the lunar node Rahu (or Ketu), or Saturn is affecting your life via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in the areas which are affected by these planets as shown in your natal chart.  The affected people should avoid taking any kind of risk at any cost during this period.  Such conjunction can make things difficult for you and make you feel miserable. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  Avoid any new ventures and postpone the matters that require you to make a crucial decision till this period is passed. 

On a collective level, Russia, China and to some extent, Europe may experience social or political turmoil during this period. Also, for the Republic Party in the United States and for republicans, it may prove to be prudent to stay on guard during this period.

Mars-Uranus quincunx (Feb 3-6)

Watch-out for bad news during these 3-4 days! Sudden and undesirable happenings are likely to occur if you have such quincunx in your birth chart.  It could be a sudden loss of money, unfortunate accident, or a bad news. Only thing I suppose you could do is be prepared and avoid taking any new risk during this period.

On a collective level, natural and man-made calamities are likely, especially in the United States of America.

Neptune-Jupiter ninefold sextile (Feb 3-7)

This auspicious ninefold sextile is good for all world religions as well as for people who are engaged in activities that help us expand morally, socially as well as materially.  

For those who have well placed Jupiter and Neptune in their birth charts (conjunction, trine, sextile, opposition) are likely to enjoy a very positive experience during this period.  People involved in the religious activities are likely experience a sudden boost in their daily activities, and religious authorities are going to be well recognized by societies.

On a collective level, religious, academic, and social fields are very likely to enjoy the new and positive changes occurring in their respective fields.

Pluto-Ketu ninefold trine (and Pluto-Rahu sextile) (Feb 11-19)

If through your current progressive chart influence of either Pluto or lunar node is active and if Pluto is favorably positioned with respect to lunar nodes in your natal chart then expect a very favorable time. Such positive events will be related to the affairs signified by the houses these planets occupy or aspect. For example, if the seventh house is involved, expect a new and positive development in relationship area, or business partnership, or success in capturing the audience if you deal with masses. If eleventh house is involved it may financially prove to be a very rewarding period. 

On a collective level, this is a good period for economy. This period is also good for progress in technical fields (new innovations and discoveries) and religious reconciliation.

Saturn-Jupiter ninefold sextile (Feb 13-17)

Jupiter-Saturn ninefold sextile is favorable for those who have such sextile in their natal charts.  A proper balance between the optimism and conservatism will protect you from becoming over optimistic (or aggressive) as well as over protective.  If you have such sextile in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you are likely to enjoy this period with full vigor and success as it would seem to come to you naturally. So enjoy! 

On a collective level, religions around the world will enjoy their activities with positive experiences.  People will likely to be convinced with the importance of moral values and will have no difficulty in maintaining their religious faith. 

Neptune-Ketu  ninefold trine (Neptune-Rahu ninefold sextile) (Feb 21-28)

For those who have well placed Neptune, and if she is in trine with any of the two lunar nodes, and are presently being influenced by any of these planets (Neptune, Rahu, or Ketu) through their current operating cycles, are likely to experience a very positive period. Rise in self confidence, feeling empowered, strong intuitive power, and in general feeling great about everything around are some of the symptoms that you are likely to enjoy.

Collectively on global scene, this period is very positive for Russia and China. Also, most of the technological areas are likely to make significant progress via inventions and discoveries. Spiritual and religious activities are likely to impart positive energy and create a very healthy atmosphere around us.

Neptune-Jupiter ninefold square (Feb 26-29)

Both Jupiter and Neptune are considered as auspicious planets. While Jupiter deals with outward and material things Neptune’s influence on us is very abstract and subtle. If you have such square in your birth chart, and if you have any one of these two planets influencing you through your current progressive cycle then you are certainly going to experience a transformation (irreversible change) in your beliefs and moral values that you have been attached to. It’s time for marching ahead with a quantum step in the process of self discovery (or evolution). Embrace this period with total openness and vulnerability.
