Although it’s very difficult to predict the influence of planets on a given individual without referring to his or her birth chart the following is intended only as a general guideline.  For confirmation, however, you must refer to your birth chart. Based on the assessment of planetary strengths or weaknesses in your birth chart, placement of planets in your current progressive regular and ninefold charts, and the current operating planetary cycles the following may or may not be applicable.  

Uranus-Mars conjunction (May 13 -17)

This 4-day period will prove to be a period of very intense negative experience for those who have unfavorable placing of Mars with respect to Uranus in their natal charts.  Expect a sudden and perhaps a devastating change in your life that will test your being.  Be prepared for a total change of surroundings around you and possibly a hostile atmosphere around you. Be cautious and on guard since the possibilities are limitless. For those who have well placed Uranus-Mars configurations in their birth charts would likely to be victorious and successful in whatever the business they are in.

On a collective level, a possibility of sudden outbreak of new a conflict affecting the United States of America can not be ruled out, it could be a man-made intentional accident or a mishandling incident by the government. 

Uranus-Rahu ninefold conjunction (and Uranus/Ketu opposition)  (May 22-31)

If in your birth chart Uranus is in conjunction with the lunar node Rahu, and if any one of these two planets are influencing you now via your current progressive chart, then you might want to consider taking extra precautions in your professional and financial areas during this period. Staying low key is certainly the way to go.  This conjunction can become dangerous, and ruin your plans and bring about unexpected disaster in every which way.  In short, during this period you will be tested. If you have very strong and positively placed lunar nodes and Uranus in your birth chart, then you need not worry.

On a collective level, the United States and in particular, the Republic Party and republicans including the republican president Bush are likely to run into some very difficult period. Also, USA and China may go through a crisis situation during this period.

Pluto-Saturn quincunx (May 15 – 31)

For those who have quincunx, square, or opposition of Pluto and Saturn in their horoscope, and for those whose current planetary operating cycle is influenced by either of these planets are likely to experience a severe setback or turmoil in their lives.  Such quincunx can become a very strong force to destroy the current setting of your lifestyle due to misfortune or things beyond your control and transform it to a totally new life setting which may or may not be desirable depending on the strength and positive influence of these planets in your natal chart. In any event it’s going to be a irreversible event.

On the collective level, expect another outbreak of violence and terrorist activities, a good possibility of natural as well as man-made calamities, and to some extent, war-like climate in some parts of the world. Tension between Israelis and Palestinians likely to rise. Some of the east-European countries, Russia, and China may experience political as well as social turmoil.

Pluto-Saturn ninefold square (May 21- 26)

If in your birth chart Pluto makes a square with Saturn, and if either of these planets is currently influencing your life via your current progressive chart, then you want to consider taking extra precaution in dealing with money matters, people at work, and especially with your adversaries. In general, this is the time to stay low key and not be aggressive. Be cautious and alert as much as possible.  Do not trust anybody during this period. 

On a collective level, Russia is likely to face with some serious challenges and perhaps sudden changes.  To some extent China is also going to have a similar experience.

Saturn-Rahu/Ketu squares (April 24 – May 9)

Saturn-Rahu (and Ketu) squares are going to be devastating for those who have such squares in their natal charts.  Anything that you attempt will be failed or result in agonizing and frustrating experience. This is not the time to take any risk.  If you have such squares in your birth chart, and if any one of these planets is presently influencing you through the current progressive cycle then you need be extra careful. The best thing to do is not make any new commitment, and totally avoid taking any business or monetary risk.   

On a collective level, barbaric activities all around the world are likely to increase. Terrorists are likely to be successful in creating confusion and chaos. Social turmoil in Europe and Russia is likely. Religious activities could get stalled for no apparent reason.

Pluto’s entry in the sidereal zodiac sign Sagittarius (Jan 28 – May 28)

One of the important planetary events of this year is the transit of the modern planet Pluto from the sidereal zodiac sign Scorpio to Sagittarius. It first occurs on January 28. Pluto stays in Sagittarius till May 28, and then with its retrograde motion returns to Scorpio and stays in Scorpio till November 28. After November 28, 2005 it will remain in Sagittarius for the following 14 to15 years (till February 2020).  Although it’s going to be in Sagittarius for only about 4 months before it returns to Scorpio, Pluto being the planet of transformation will certainly affect the matters related to Sagittarius in a big way. The drastic changes in our collective moral and religious perceptions are certainly going to be manifested in the way we never experienced before by Pluto’s transit in Sagittarius. This era (next 15 years) will be remembered as the period of religious revolution.  The way we have been used to deal with religions will no longer be our norms.  Although it’s very likely that some of the world religions will either become obsolete or transformed into other forms the religious or moral codes will be greatly influenced by our collective spiritual experiences. And in that sense a subtle but most effective transformation of world religions during this unique era of 15 years is likely to take us to a level where the norms solely based on spiritual experiences will dictate and guide our lives with new level of understanding. 

In scientific and technological areas lot of drastic changes and emerging new ideas will find their way into innovations and discoveries.  The scientific and technological growth rate will rise at a very rapid pace.  However, it will be the first time the scientific and technological research will be more focused in areas that will bridge the gap between the science and morality. The likely areas of research will be in biotechnology, medicine, spiritual healing, and life-force related activities. A new wave of philosophers with their new perspectives on living, in general, will certainly transform our world in next 15 years to a new level of understanding. 

On individual level for those who have Sagittarius ninefold ascendant should get ready for a brand new cycle of change, especially a very pronounced cycle if Pluto is a dominant planet in your birth charts. The changes that might occur would be very subtle and would deal with pretty much all aspects of your life including relationship, marriage, profession, surroundings, common perceptions and beliefs, and the way of living.
