On November 19, Jupiter entered the sidereal Aquarius and will stay in Aquarius till April 13, 2022. For the entire world, in general, it’s going to be an auspicious time from the philosophical and collective spiritual advancement point of view. The resulting philosophical influences will likely to be long lasting.  Also, academia, social reformers, social justice, morality, universal brotherhood and to some extent religions are likely to be positively influenced by Jupiter’s transit in Aquarius. Venus becomes retrograde on December 19, and stays retrograde for about six weeks. In general, a retrograde Venus means a very challenging period for women, marriages, home life, lovers, artists, musicians, singers and entertainment industry in general.  Expect the divorce rates to peak, fighting between spouses to intensify, and delays, frustrations, and misunderstandings to take a center-stage in domestic matters. The last two weeks of December are likely to witness events similar to the ones during March-July of this year as the influence of the Saturn-Uranus square remains dominant for USA, especially for the west coast and Texas. The manifestation of this undesirable planetary square (especially along with the transformational Capricorn Pluto) is likely to be reflected in both the natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during this period (a possible surge of Covid-19 pandemic with new variant Omicron, climate crisis, uprising in Middle-East, Russia and the United States).  

Saturn-Uranus Square (December 16-31)

One of the most important and deadly planetary combinations of 2021 is the Capricorn Saturn and Aries Uranus square is happening again this year during December 16-31.

Aries being a fire and cardinal sign is very suitable for brilliant, independent, ambitious, energetic, impulsive and crazy Uranus. The changes in world political landscape have been tremendously influenced by Uranus’s transit in Aries ( Briton still suffering from Covid-19 crisis, former president Donald Trump facing the Jan 6 riot investigation by the House select committee, etc.,). 

Now combine the Uranus’s energy with that of steadfast and subtle but very powerful energy of Capricorn Saturn through its challenging square with Uranus. It’s a perfect combination for material world disasters including the natural calamities such as a possible new wave of Covid-19 surge (Omicron?) . Unless these energies are properly understood, the man-made calamities might include increased friction between world powers (USA-Russia and China) perhaps resulting into war-like climate. 

The people who are likely to be most affected by this square are military personnel, people in power such as business leaders and political leaders.  In scientific and technological areas expect drastic changes; and emerging new ideas will find their ways into innovations and discoveries.  Since the characteristics of Uranus are closely tied with that of the United States as a country (especially the states of California, Oregon and Washington) likelihood  of serious natural and man-made calamities, political and financial upheavals is strong.

Thus, the manifestation of this undesirable planetary square is likely to be reflected in both the natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during this two week period.

As far as the United States is concerned, since characteristics of Uranus are more aligned with liberal ideas and that of Saturn with conservatism, it wouldn’t be surprising if an intense battle emerges between the right wing republicans and the left wing democrats not only in congress but all over the country.

Retrograde Venus (December 19 – January 29)

On December 19, the planet Venus turns retrograde in its motion in sidereal zodiac sign Capricorn. With its retrograde motion it returns to Sagittarius on December 30 and stays in Sagittarius. It then becomes direct on January 29 and reenters Capricorn on February 27. 

Venus becomes retrograde about once every 19 months, and stays retrograde for about six weeks. The energy of the retrograde Venus in Capricorn does tend to reflect a challenging period for industries that produce luxury goods and provide luxury services.  

If you have a dominating Venus in your birth chart, and if the Venus energy is active via your current planetary cycle, then you are more likely to experience the challenging period till January 29. The executive producers, directors of entertainment industries as well as the entertainers like actors, actresses, singers, musicians, comedians and others related to luxury based consumer industries may find themselves in a miserable situation during this retrograde Venus period. 

Jupiter returns the sidereal Aquarius  (Nov 19, 2021 – April 13, 2022 )

On November 20, 2021, Jupiter reentered Aquarius and will remain in Aquarius till April 13, 2022.

Aquarius, being the air sign, Jupiter’s manifestation in Aquarius will certainly  be reflected in emergence of new philosophies, philosophical debates, and as a result, perhaps new norms and new way of living.  For the entire world, in general, it’s going to be an auspicious time from the spirituality advancement point. In addition, Aquarius being a fixed sign, the resulting philosophical influences will likely to be long lasting.  Also, academia, social reformers, social justice, morality, universal brotherhood and to some extent religions are likely to be positively influenced by Jupiter’s transit in Aquarius.

For individuals, especially for those who have dominant Jupiter in their birth charts and have Capricorn, Aries, Gemini, Leo or Libra as their natal ninefold (Navamansa) ascendant are likely to experience a very positive period during Nov 20, 2021 – April 13, 2022.

About President Joe Biden and his challenges…….

President Joe Biden’s current Dasa cycles are: Jupiter major, Rahu intermediate and Venus as sub cycle lasting through March 22, 2022.  The planets in the Nakshatras (constellations) ruled by Jupiter are: Jupiter and Mercury; in the Nakshatras ruled by Rahu are: Mars and Ketu; and in the Nakshatras ruled by Venus: none. Thus, the activation of energies of Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Ketu and Moon and Venus are expected to be reflected in President’s present activities and actions. 

For him December is likely to be a much better month than the previous one as he finally ekes out, albeit not getting as much as he wanted, a multi trillion dollar spending bill (Build Back Better) that progressive and moderate democrats had not been in agreement. Nonetheless, it will finally still be seen as a victory for democrats as they reluctantly come together to pass it.

With Libra as his ninefold (Navamansh) ascendant, favorable Jupiter continues to be in the 5th house of his Gochar (transit) chart; Mercury in the 2nd house of his transit chart continues to be favorable till Dec 10 and then not so favorable for the rest of the month. The Mars in the first house continues to be unfavorable until December 5 and then too unfavorable being in the 2nd house of his transit chart for the remainder of the month.

Given the transit (Gochar) chart dispositions of his active planets, the favorable Jupiter is likely to help him successfully executing his domestic agenda and achieving his remaining goals for 2021;  getting the “Build  Back Better” spending bill, continued Covid-19 nationwide vaccinations efforts, global humanitarian vaccine drive and providing help to needy nations, etc.

Until December 10, the favorable Mercury makes it easier for him to deal with his critics and adversaries. As a result he would likely to make some political gains and recover from his sliding popularity. However after December 10, his adversaries may get upper hand to slow down his efforts for his agenda.

The active Mars will continue to be challenging for him as he will be severely attacked and accused by his critics on a daily basis. The energy of the active Mars would be more challenging for him after December 10.

The opposition of the transiting Pluto to his natal Jupiter is likely to seemingly create a bit chaotic political situation for him, however, it’s a very subtle and favorable energy that will help him navigate through this challenging period and it will prove to be politically favorable.

Overall, December is likely to be even a better month than November. And his popularity in polls is likely to stabilize if not creep up.
