On January 31, Mercury turns retrograde in sidereal Capricorn, an earth and cardinal sign ruled by Saturn. It will stay retrograde in Capricorn until February 20. Typically retrograde Mercury means anxieties, communication breakdowns, unexpected delays, frustrations, missing deadlines, unforeseen obstacles and disappointment in daily chores. Retrograde Mercury in Capricorn means more frustrating periods for business people, corporations, entrepreneurs, people in government, social reformers and activists.
But, one of the most important and deadly planetary combinations of 2021 is the Capricorn Saturn and Aries Uranus square during January 18 thru July 19 and then during the entire month of December 2021. The manifestation of this undesirable planetary square (especially along with the transformational Capricorn Pluto) is likely to be reflected in both the natural and man-made calamities causing destruction and loss of lives during this period (return of Covid-19 pandemic or other new virus related crisis –Covid-19 strain, South African variant, war, climate crisis, uprising in Middle-East, Russia and the United States). Saturn-Uranus Square (January 18 – July 19)
One of the most important and deadly planetary combinations of 2021 is the Capricorn Saturn and Aries Uranus square during January 18 thru July 19 and then during the entire month of December 2021.
Aries being a fire and cardinal sign, is very suitable for brilliant, independent, ambitious, energetic, impulsive and crazy Uranus. The changes in world political landscape have been tremendously influenced by Uranus’s transit in Aries (Brexit’s revival, Briton intensely suffering from Covid-19 crisis, humiliating defeat of Donald Trump despite last ditch efforts to overturn the results and inauguration of president-elect Joe Biden as the next President of the United States of America, etc.,).
Now combine the Uranus’s energy with that of steadfast and subtle but very powerful energy of Capricorn Saturn through its challenging square with Uranus. During Jan 28 thru Mar 10, in addition to the slow moving planets Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter (as described above), Sun, Venus and Mercury will join them in sidereal Capricorn.
