Total Solar Eclipse (March 9, GMT)
A total solar eclipse occurs on March 9 approximately during the hours of 1:30 to 02:15 GMT. This eclipse will be visible in Indian subcontinent, far-east Asia (east of India), eastern China, Japan, Pacific rim-countries, Australia, Pacific-islands countries and Hawaii.
This eclipse is important since the Sun and Moon will be within 2 degrees from Ketu, the Southern or descending node in the sidereal zodiac sign Aquarius. Consequently this eclipse, according to Vedic astrology, is likely to be unfavorable for those who have sidereal Aquarius rising or Aquarius as moon sign.
For those who have the lunar nodes in conjunction with either Sun or Moon in their natal charts should watch-out. It’s not a good day! Take extra precaution.

About transit of Mars in Scorpio……
The Planet Mars entered the sidereal zodiac sign Scorpio on February 20. While in Scorpio, it turns retrograde on April 18. With its retrograde motion it goes back in Libra on June 18. It becomes direct in Libra on June 30 and then with it’s direct motion re-enters Scorpio on July 11. It remains in Scorpio until September 18. Thus, except for June 18- July 11, Mars occupies Scorpio from February 20 through September 18. Saturn, being in Scorpio all through 2016, conjuncts Mars with one degree orb during August 20-28.
Scorpio being a water and fixed sign ruled by Mars, it becomes extremely challenging for Scorpio resident Saturn when Mars is in Scorpio. Because by nature, Mars and Saturn do not complement each other, when Mars dominates (being the ruler of Scorpio) Saturn is naturally going to feel totally out of place in Scorpio. Pluto being placed in favorable 5th and the 3rd house of progressive and the ninefold progressive chart respectively Pluto will continue to provide him with a positive and refreshing change enabling him to govern the country with a higher degree of confidence. However, after March 24, the ninefold Pluto enters the fourth house of his ninefold progressive chart, causing him to deal with a new national security related crisis during the last week of the month.
